The Moon and Her Auras, and Other Soulful Stories - Sarah Ramos
Section Eight,
Welcome to Brooklyn
Master everything
Become skillful in all
become a chef
paint up the walls
dance on a pole
hit that last bowl
sit in silence
read,
then write,
dance
Live life like there’s no tomorrow because you're never promised anything
If all we had was today make it as outlandish as it could be
never stop following the light within thee 12:28am
Two young queens stare into the void,
wondering,
pondering,
What if we were able to leave?
Do you ever think about leaving?
Do you ever think of running away?
Why is everyone so sad all the time?
How much is a bus ticket?
Too young to know how to obtain a train ticket
Too wise to know how to plan the entire journey.
Too cowardly to go through with it. 12:22 am
P.s. being a coward saved my life from a lifetime of struggle
The old lady of the jungle,
The Queen of concrete
Breed to hustle
Too busy fighting the struggle
She missed her son's games
As he was chasing fame
To make his mom proud
The bitter taste left in his mouth was foul
When she never showed up
Nothing ever seemed sweet
He couldn't stay discreet about his own reality
Chasing fame just felt the same with no one in the crowd left to call out his name,
Except for a few unfamiliar voices
But most were in vain
And then one day his life completely changed
For better or for worse
A blessing or a curse
A family of his very own
A struggle he had already known.
Finally, he has a purpose, to create his own circus 12:16 am
The energy ties from history and its earthly location are magical. In need of a revolution? Go to the location where the revolution for freedom was created. Channel the good intentions, process them, use them to achieve greatness. Xoxo
Welcome to New York
Where everyone minds their business
Where so many stories are intertwined and entangled in one
The energy is nothing you’ve ever felt before
Welcome to New York where if you take the product out of the environment it's a blessing and a curse
Everywhere else you can't be your truest self,
Everywhere else everyone stares and lurks,
Everywhere else you say hi’s and goodbyes with little white lies to mask your true disguise
Thus they don’t pray for your demise
Everywhere else they didn’t know the code was
Mine yours and I’ll mind mines,
Look the other way,
