    INTRODUCTION

Being young with great energy is not eternal. No matter how we try to follow daily treatment, such as daily exercise, consuming antioxidants, having a balanced diet, we will all be exposed to the effects of aging, a fact that we will all live to go through.

In older women, physical changes lead to menopause. This phase is symbolized by a change in lifestyle, end of reproduction, and menstruation. Now is the time to take more care of your body.

In short, menopause is an event in the life of every woman in which fertility or ability to have a child is lost. This is when the ovaries stop producing eggs as the sex hormones of women such as estrogen, progesterone, and androgens decrease.

Menopause is not an anomaly. It is a natural experience as men and women age. However, it becomes a problem for women, especially if they are not aware of the physical changes that will occur at this stage.

When considering the design of reproductive women, each woman carries about 500,000 eggs. Only about 500 eggs mature and are released during the menstrual cycle. The other eggs are damaged as a woman age.

In the early reproductive years, the pituitary gland of the brain helps to release hormones and extract a new follicle egg each month. When the follicle is formed, it produces sex hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, which causes the thickening of the lining of the uterus. This developed follicle is ready to become a fertilized egg and later to form a fetus if adult sperm are present. If fertilization does not occur, estrogen and progesterone levels decrease as the lining of the uterus ruptures, causing menstruation.

In the mid-age 30s, the ovaries go through gradual changes in hormone production for various reasons still unknown. At the age of 40 years, the process accelerates as the hormones decrease, causing irregular menstrual cycles and unpredictable menstrual bleeding.

In the mid-50s, the menstrual periods and menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, mood swings, decreased libido, and insomnia or sleep disorders are no longer visible. However, estrogen production may not stop completely. The ovaries can significantly reduce production, but still, produce a small amount of estrogen.

A change in menstrual periods in elderly women is an indication that they are approaching menopause. This phase is commonly known as menopause transition. When a woman is going through menopause symptoms, this event is known as perimenopause.

For healthcare experts, menopause is technically defined as the stage in the life
