The Lord and I Through Poetry - Darlene Armstrong
Communion
On the 26th of December,
lying beneath the tree
I began to see a vision,
of the Lord and me.
His hair was all glistening
as white as snow
and his eyes were aflame,
brightly all aglow.
I heard his voice as he
called to me
Come my child,
come along and see
Let me show you the beauty
of your life with me.
He held out his hand
reaching out to me
Come my beloved, walk along with me
let me show you the beauty
of your life with me.
He held out his arms
and held me tenderly
For I am his child
and his love covers me.
His love never ends,
his love sets me free.
And the vision was complete,
the Lord and me.

One little daisy stands alone,
alone and yet part of a garden
A garden that God created
For you and me.
Thank God for the daisies
that stand alone,
and that he has made them.
Made them to stand all in aglow,
To break forth God’s
beauty around them.
Praise God for the daisies
and other flowers too.
They are all part of the kingdom
Just like me and you.
38507.pngGod’s Colors
I threw open the window
and what did I see,
A beautiful blue jay
Singing out in the tree.
I ran to the door
and in the autumn glow
The trees beheld his glory
In red, yellow and gold.
I walked through the meadow
and out in the field,
Was a patch of white daisies
and I knew God was real.
I love you, our Creator,
For your creation is so bright,
And in praise and Thanksgiving
I will thank you every day and night.

How I love to hear the rain
Dropping lightly on the window pane
Sleeping soundly while the
world is in pain
