But for the Grace of God Go I

About this ebook
This book summary may sound a little strange, but it is very true.
It came about a night while I was sleeping. Satan started coming to me in my dreams. He told me if I would write down everything he told me, he would make me as rich as someone we all know. (I will not tell their name. I don't want to make anyone mad.) Anyway, I ignored Satan that night and went back to sleep, but he did tell me that the name of the book would be The Mirror in the House.
Well, the next night while I was sleeping, Satan came to me again in my dreams. Again, he told me if I would write down everything he said, he would make me as rich as someone we all know. The name of the book will be The Mirror in the House. He said it will be published as a book and will become a movie. That night, I did speak. I told him if I'm ever to get rich, it will be through my Lord. Satan left me and never came back.
Then one day, I was sitting in my chair in the living room when this feeling came all over me. I yelled, "Quick, get me a pen and paper." I could not write fast enough. That's when God gave me my first song with the tune. The name of the song is "Up." He gave me several songs with the tunes since. Then he changed them to poems. God is my Savior, my Father, my King. God is my everything! Life would be so useless without God.
God says in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"

But for the Grace of God Go I - Judy Hood
So Majestic
You are so majestic, my Lord, my King
Forever to you, I will sing
I look to the mountains, the sky, the sea
Your beauty surrounds me, that I see
When you placed the stars in the sky
And all the birds that can fly
I will just enjoy without asking why
How did you do it all, my Lord
In just six days all this beauty galore
Man you breathed life into
To live and love and honor only you
I may mess up from time to time
But in my heart, you, you will find
I live for you to my best
In return, you give me rest
God’s Magical Paintbrush
The magic in God’s paintbrush
As he painted the world so bright
He did not get in a rush
And oh, what a beautiful sight!
The imagination in his mind
Is far beyond our reach
But just pray and you will find
Our Lord is willing to teach
Listen, My Son
Hear, my son, and listen to my words
Gird up your life, and keep it valiantly stirred
I have given you much wisdom
Baptized you with a holy baptism
I will lead you in the paths of righteousness
All I ask for is your faithfulness
My son, keep my commandments and live
Always be good to your brother and give
Do not understanding raise her voice?
Get understanding in my word and rejoice
Take my instruction instead of silver or gold
Then watch my world to you unfold
For my instruction is priceless, wisdom better than jewels
Walk in my ways, then you will get my approval
A wise son will make his father glad
But a foolish son makes his father sorrowful and sad
So walk in my ways and be blessed everywhere you trod
Be still and know that I am God
Thank You, Lord
I thank the one who placed the stars against the velvet sky
I look to you and let out my cry
To the one who breathed breath in man
Who created the oceans, you cannot even count the sand
Who spoke into existence the wind and air
The one who shows us how much he cares
To the one who sent his son who stained my heart with his blood
Happy tears fill my soul like a flood
I say all this to say thank you, my Lord
If your gift was not free, I could never afford
Salvation’s Plan
God sent his son; they called him Jesus
He lived and died to save all of us
He did God’s will; he does it still
Just pour your heart as you kneel
Then his love, he will seal
He is the master of your soul
Oh, let heaven be your goal
He intended heaven to be our destiny
So we could live in serenity
Where would you rather be?
Is he the captain of your sea?
He wants you when your life is gone
To come to him, to come home
To walk those golden streets with him hand in hand
It was all predestined, yes, it was salvation’s plan
Heavenly Ride
It’s a heavenly ride
To be by his side
Oh, what joy it brings
Makes me want to sing
I’m going way up there
Gonna fly through the air
Gonna see my King
Let those angelic bells ring
I’m gonna dance my way to the throne
Because my soul he owns
It’s my Lord I’ll greet
Then I’ll bow at his feet
He’ll show me around paradise
My Lord, he is so wise
In the Crystal Sea we will wade
We’ll just hang out all day
He’ll tell me the story of old
One that was never written on a scroll
Then he’ll lead me to my mansion fair
God’s the only one who ever gave me so much care
Daydreams of Heaven
As I walk with him on the streets of glory
I long to be in that heavenly band
I love to hear my Savior tell his story
I’ll bow to him, do all I can
While I sit and daydream about heaven’s beauty
I can’t help but think of all the splendor there
He created heaven and earth; he is so witty
One day he’ll take us to see his wonders rare
I want to sing and dance to make him happy
I want to hold him and tell him what he means
I’m so proud to call him my daddy
With all his love and wisdom, he is so keen
On that day when I cross Jordan’s river
And I step into that fair land
My Lord will be there; his love makes me richer
I’ll reach out and take my Savior’s hand
You Are My Sunshine
Lord, do you know you are my sunshine
You are my air each breath I take
And do you know, Lord, you are my best friend
All my life in Jesus’s name
I’m gonna worship; I’m gonna praise you
I will honor you all my days
I will lift up my voice to heaven
Just to lift up your dear name
I’m gonna share your love with others
So they will know they’re not alone
I’m gonna share salvation’s story
And point their journey to the throne
When I’m finished with your work, Lord
I know you’ll take me home
I’ll spread my wings and fly through glory
Then I’ll rest at your dear throne
My Reflection
I look in my mirror—what do I see?
A reflection of someone looking back at me
I realize time has rolled by
But what I see makes me want to cry
Where did you go? I miss you so bad
I aged so quick it makes me sad
The young slender woman that stood so tall
Is now just a Pillsbury dough ball
I have to laugh in spite of me
Because I’m very happy, you see
Life is such a beautiful thing
Don’t waste even a moment on negative things
Sow and plant wisely every day
You will reap so much; you will be amazed
My Mother
I was taking care of my mother
When the Lord called her home
She was there one minute
The next, she was gone
Mom and I were best friends
I’m sure the
