Leila's Expression of Praise - Leila Edwards
God Is Faithful
He promised to send the Comforter
In ways we cannot comprehend
And we see his faithfulness
He promised I will never leave you or forsake you
His servants come and fill those in need
Of his warmth and comfort
Our God is the greatest
His grace is poured out in abundance
But we are so absorbed with self
We miss his power in our lives
When we are told to wait and pray
We become despondent and complain
But his unconditional love prevails
Cradles and comforts us
Then in our despondency breakthrough comes
By encouraging words and laughter
Or someone calls who need your ministry
What a mighty God we serve.
Joy
Joy is hard to attain
It’s cheap but hard to accept
Don’t let someone take it away
If you do it will pass you by
Don’t let someone steal your joy
For you have enough to live by
When all is taken what do you do
You’ll sit and worry as others do
Don’t let someone steal your joy
It is precious and can’t be bought or sold
Walk with God his love prevails
Your joy will be valued and placed in the vale
Let no one steel your bloom
It is not just for the tomb
Your joy exceeds many waters
