    In His Hand

    FROM THE HEART…

For thousands of generations, poetry has blessed the heart of the reader in many ways. It has been an expression of love … of worship … of humor and wit, and the thoughts and feelings of one’s soul… .

    His Hand

When life brings its trials and sorrows,

And there seems to be no hope or gain,

Remember to take the hand of the man,

    Who died and rose again,

He promised to be right beside us and help us along the way.

He promised He’d never leave us,

That’s why He sent His Holy Spirit back to stay.

He came to comfort and to help and to see us overcome,

To dry our tears and live within us,

Until we conform into the image of His Son.

    He came to give us power and authority;

Now, I don’t know about you,

But I’m going to take it and live life abundantly.

He’s stretching out His nail-scarred hand

For you and me … He’s trying to show us He’s the answer,

Now, which choice will it be? Mine will be, I’ll take it!

For I know I can’t live here on earth,

Without His eternal care. There are too many woes and pitfalls,

And too many of the enemies’ snares,

So, I’ll ease into the arms of Jesus,

Let Him hold me as tight as He can,

I’ll find peace and joy and righteousness

In the Lord’s strong and mighty hand.

You see, when you know that you know He’s alive,

You can cry out to Him in the night,

He’ll come to you, reach out His hand,

    And save you from fright,

He loves us more than we’ll ever know,

But for now I’ll rest in His easy yoke and

Light burden, until the day He comes,

In all His Glory, to take me home.

    The Whisper of His Voice

In the quiet wee hours of early morn,

My Savior whispers to me, why He was born,

Yes, to take my sins away

And to teach me how to pray,

Also the Holy Spirit, in His still small voice,

    Whispers, You’re My choice.

He covers me in His robe of love,

And, I hear Angels singing from above…

They are singing praises to the Lamb Of God,

He is worthy, Only He could fulfill the job

Of mending wounded hearts and setting free

One held captive like you and me.

Then He whispers in my ear,

"I love you and will wipe away every tear,

I have promised, there is nothing to fear,"

And the clouds of doubt begin to clear.

The walls around me begin to fall,

And He whispers, "I Am your all and all,

I will give you strength in time of need,

I will clothe you and on my Word you will feed,"

He takes my heart within His Hand,

On the potter’s wheel molds it over and over again,

He whispers peace to my soul

And gives me wisdom that is mighty and bold,

As the sun comes up and the day begins,

I whisper, Lord, stay with me until the end,

I feel His Hand touch my face,

And I hear Him whisper, By your side is My place.

    Worship the Lord

Worship the Lord with all of your heart,

And He will give you lasting joy that never departs,

Come before Him with delightful dancing,

Play your instruments of music while singing

Bring Him your Praises, Honor, and Thanksgiving,

Seek His face for the right way of living,

The joy of the Lord is my strength,

How great is His love, do we stop to think?

When all is said and done, and everything has passed,

It will be His Word which will remain and last.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us

Behold His Glory and know His trust.

To many He gave gifts of His truth and way,

That we might have a better life on earth, today,

Don’t be timid but stir those gifts up,

And drink from the divine salvation of His cup.

    A Precious Stone

A precious stone, who can find,

Ageless-a priceless gem so rare of its kind,

This jewel was rejected by many men,

And yet, healed countless hearts from their sins,

Only the heart who is surrendered to Him,

Ends up finding this precious gem,

And takes their place by His side,

Free from doubt, worry, and pride.

The cornerstone is where He stands,

And those that know Him receive His Hand,

If you turn from your sin and kneel to pray,

He will save your land and begin healing it today.

The homes which have been torn apart …

Jesus will gather His children to His heart,

And He will do something new,

He will create a precious gem in you.

    When You Awake

    When you awake,

May the sun shine brightly, just for your sake,

And all the doubts and fears that weigh you down,

Disappear, to find a smile instead of a frown,

    When you awake,

May your soul feel a happy day that will take

You from sorrow to joy and leave the past behind,

To find a new beginning loving and kind.
