Weeping willows let their hair hang down
While they cry at the riverbanks
Their tears are a constant reminder of
All the sins of the world.
But an oak tree stands tall and straight
And welcomes you to the worlds’ unknown
It’s adventures you will forever behold.
We give all praise to God
For His many, many blessings
In our lives and the
Living and Loving miracles
He has blessed us to know.
Black Queens Speak
The Black Queens are our mother’s, Grandmothers and in my case my Great-grandmothers. These are the women who care, teach and believe in us. Each one teaches us about life in a different way. They teach us our history and that our lives are not defined by our location or life’s situation. They teach us how to live and the greatest achievements we will reach will be achieved if we work for them, earn them and pay back our successes on someone else.
The Black Queens Speak reflect our hopes and dreams and the futures we cannot see
The past histories that we teach
The opportunities we strive to reach
And the love we entreat.
Black Queens surround us
When we are on the bus in the store or swimming on the shore.
They are the porch Mothers that watch our children as they play
And kiss their boo boo’s when they fall.
They are our secrets and worries listeners and advice givers
Whenever we call
They are always there and always care.
Black Queens live and guide us
Some have even died for us
They walk us through life
No matter how much strife.
They have been raped, whipped and killed for standing up
And still refused to be hushed
Thay drank eagerly from their life’s cup.
Black Queens stand tall beside their Kings
Not behind or in front of them
Her King deserves her upmost respect
As, long, as, he conducts himself as a King.
Black Queens rule
They do not excuse
But they include
Every child with everlasting fortitude!
