On Becoming Strawberry Cheesecake Applesauce

IT WAS OCTOBER AND I was feeling out of sorts – for no particular reason. But I was feeling so out of sorts that finally my wife sat me down on the sofa for a healing session. You can imagine how gung ho I felt about doing that!

I closed my eyes to see what I was being shown. And all I could see was a knife cutting bad spots out of Apples.

It had been a bumper crop for Apples in Olympia, WA that year. We have two Apple trees. Every other year they produce lots of Apples – about 300 between the two of them. On the off years they might produce 100. That year, I would pick 1300, 300 off the small tree and 1000 off the larger one. One branch on the small tree got so heavy with Apples that it broke during mid-season. I propped it up and left it and somehow the 30 or so Apples on it managed to ripen.

So, I had been processing lots of Apples and I thought at first that I was just seeing what I’d been doing quite a bit of – cutting bad spots out of the Apples.

But then I thought that perhaps cutting bad spots out of Apples was what I was being shown. So, I went with that interpretation – who knows if I was right or not.

I saw God, the Universe, or Whatever – or as babies say G.U.W., taking the hurting spots out of me. As I let GUW take the hurting spots out of me it felt really
