YouPurpose - Marcia Willoughby
Foreword
When I ponder on the true essence of the book, You Purpose
I am reminded of the three callings of Jesus’ ministry:
- Come and see (John 1 :35-46)
- Come follow Me (Mark 1:16-20)
- Come be with Me (Mark 3:13-14)
Marcia has, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, given us a guided tour of:
1. Her foundational (Come and see) beliefs that were imparted into her, as a child by her parents (e.g., I am not raising you up for me but to show respect to the world.
)
2. Her success best practices (Come follow me) as a serial entrepreneur, mother, dreamer, etc.
3. Her unapologetic death (Come follow Me) to self; her voluntary and daily embrace of her cross in ministry.
As I slowly digested each chapter it was clearly evident that YouPurpose was not just a book, but a blueprint to divine prosperity (I Thessalonian 5:23, III John 2)
If you are looking for a book that will provide you information (steps) for success, this is not it......If you are looking for a book that will provide you inspiration and motivation for success, this also, is not it. But if you are looking for a book that will usher you into the disciplined lifestyle of transformation for success (transformation into His image) where you will be equipped to influence and impart wisdom and excellence to others, then look no further.
There are many self-proclaimed transformational coaches, leaders, speakers, ministers out here but they lack what the author of this book models (submission to authority).
This book (like the Bible) can benefit anyone, in any state of mind and any stage of development.

Introduction
This book was years in the making.
I knew I was supposed to write the book but always felt that the time was not right. I was waiting on the Lord to direct and instruct me as for me to be obedient to God is very important.
When God spoke to me and said this is the time, I started writing strictly by the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit. I give all glory and honor to God for helping me through this writing process as again I realized that I could not have done this project without Him.
With this book, I hope and aim to help others find their purpose and reach their God-ordained destiny in life. It’s about self-discovery and neutralizing any destroying wrong thinking patterns that claim you are nothing with no value to give to life.
I hope to reach every reader of the book at a place of transformation, where each person can transition from no self-worth to becoming confident in who they are. My goal is that every reader of this book and poetry will realize that they do matter and have essential value to bring to this world.
May this book make every person stronger and more courageous to live life to the maximum in every way possible as they start applying the keys given in the following chapters I received in my life. I suggest as you read the book take time out to become quiet in the presence of God and prepare your heart to receive from the Holy Spirit as this literature was inspired by Jesus Christ for this season.
The book I wrote especially as an easy read of a hundred-plus pages to focus on quality reading instead of loads of quantity pages for a single purpose, to allow you to take hold of the principles and keys of each chapter.
Finally, my prayer is that everyone reading this book will be blessed with all the riches and glory found in Jesus Christ.
The Key
by
Marcia Willoughby
The key to my heart
I place the key into Thy hands
Thou have the power to unlock my heart
Bearing my naked soul
My heart in a little box as a gift to Thee
Rendering myself to Thee
The greatest gift of me
I give it all to Thee
Thou have the key to my heart
CHAPTER
One
Early Life
Was born and raised in Cape Town South Africa and the youngest of 4 siblings which consists of two brothers and a sister. My dad and mom were hard- working people who really took care of us, but my parents were very strict with us, especially due to my dad being a detective with a rank as a captain in the South African Police Services.
Sometimes my dad was a little bit extreme with us, but I knew my dad loved us even though it felt at times we were living in a military boot camp. Like any child, I would question what was wrong with my parents as they were really scared to take chances and opportunities.
My parents opened our minds to what was happening in the world which led to many things not been hidden from us, they use to tell me and my sister to watch certain things so we would be exposed with regards to how the world operates. We were taught not to be ignorant or be led to fall into certain traps and pitfalls others have stepped or fallen in to.
Looking back at how my parents exposed us to the world, I am truly grateful because I got so much wisdom, and makes me wonder what would have happened if my parents did not protect and sharpened us. Values were instilled in us to respect and honor; we were taught not to envy or be jealous of other people’s achievements.
My father taught us about finances and how to save and how to decide what was important or not. I can honestly say that we did not experience any lack, my dad was very wise with spending money. He always promised us by saying we will lack nothing because he knew how to budget and put our financial affairs in order.
My parents had huge hearts to help others and even though my father has died when I was twenty-one years old in his early fifties, I still see that quality in my mother today. My father was a detective and everyone knew him, he helped so many people as he worked in a very poor district.
I was raised in a very comfortable home and my father use to bring children home that went through very difficult situations, some were rape victims, abused children or children who did not know where their families were. These children were brought to the police station where my father was stationed at and he would bring them home until he could find their families or a safe environment.
The moment he brought someone home we had to make sure that they were given a warm bath, had to give the children from our clothes, also give up our beds for the time they were staying with us and we had to make our beds on the floor. This would go on for days at a time till he could find them a safe place with their families.
Usually what happened was these children never wanted to leave at times because of the love and the sense of family they received from our home. With all the children my parents took in that lived with us there was no discrimination, what we received from our parents the other children also got while they were living with us and I admired that.
That is what we were taught and only now as I am writing about this part of my life that I am realizing that both my parents were great leaders. In their respective fields, my mother being a supervisor at a textile factory they gave selflessly to the people that surrounded them whether it was family or strangers, even the people they worked with they helped which is why I will forever be grateful to both my parents. They knew what they were doing, they trained us to become leaders without us even knowing it our minds were programmed to help others in need.
My family had lots of good times and laughter with our fair share of ups and downs which every family has from time to time. The part that hit me the most in my early life was when my father passed away so suddenly, I was so broken and shattered as my dad was my hero, my everything, and no matter what mistakes he made no person could break that image I had of who my father was to me.
When I turned twenty-one, I can still until today remember every little detail of him doing his best to make my
