Have you ever looked into the mirror and stared deep into your eyes and asked, "Who am I?" or "What am I doing here?" Well, you are not alone. According to news publications and numerous surveys, this is the number one question, "Why am I here?" Are you willing to move into what God has called you to do? Are you at a crossroad? Do you feel unqualified? Are you running from your calling? Are you walking in your purpose but waiting on your season for God's will to be revealed? When? How? You are here on earth for a specific assignment that no one but you can fulfill. God created you down to your very DNA no matter the circumstance of your birth. You can step into the destiny God explicitly designed for you. Who Am I guides you through biblical truths to discover God's plan for you. This book reveals what God says about who you are and your divine purpose. You will discover the answers to these questions: - What - Who - Why - How - When - Where Based on Rev. Maxfield's teaching, "The 6 Questions of Humanity," Sally developed an easy-to-read book that dares you to step into God's purpose for your life. Expect to be challenged! There is nothing more important and foundational to a life that prospers than knowing God and knowing who He created you to be. This book is dedicated to the person who impacted my life the most, my dad Rev. E. D. (Bert) Maxfield. Dad pastored churches for over fifty years and planted the seeds of God’s Word into my life. He was the one I called when the situations in my life were rocky or barren.

I remember one time when I was going through a particular drought and felt my prayers were not reaching the ceiling, much less piercing heaven. Dad asked me, Do you believe God hears me when I pray? I quickly responded, Yes, absolutely! He took me into his arms and said, Then lean into my faith and I will pray. That was my dad, and between you and me, I believed Dad had a red phone that ran directly to the throne of God. His prayers were anointed and wrapped in faith with the expectation of God stepping into any situation, and God always did!

This book is based on Dad’s teaching series, The 6 Questions of Humanity. Dad was a scholar, a man who pursued God with a passion. He studied the Word day and night. He was the person other ministers called when needing encouragement or advice in interpreting the Word of God. He touched so many lives. I am so honored to be his daughter.

    Dad, this is for you.

A good seed is planted in good soil, and in due season, it brings forth fruit. In this book, Sally Maxfield-May has planted God’s excellent seeds of truth in a format that you can understand and receive. The impartation of these truths will surely bring forth good fruit into your everyday life.

There are many things about us which remain hidden until they are revealed by God. Sally has captured God’s seed words from the Bible to help unveil your full potential for your service in God’s kingdom.

Through the pages of this book, you will discover the blueprint of your allotted destiny. The anointing dripping from the pages of this book will fall upon you like dew from heaven. As it falls, allow God’s word to penetrate your heart. As you do so, your life will forever be changed.

    Acknowledgments

As a little girl, Saturday was my day to curl up in a window seat in our local library and read for hours. I recall letting my fingers gently brush over the book binders as I walked down the library aisles. I remember one summer, I read sixty-six books; I am still a passionate reader. I always dreamed that one day, I would be an author.

A sincere thank you to my parents for encouraging me to read, to ask questions, to search for answers, and share what I learned at the dinner table. It created within me a deep curiosity and yearning to study.

This book would never have been written without your teaching, Dad. Your revelation into who we are and God’s purpose for us inspired me to write this book. There is not a day that I do not miss you; you are forever in my heart. I look forward to seeing you again. Thank you for sharing your vision, providing continuous encouragement, and loving me. I believe you are smiling down on me with approval.

There are many family members and friends who urged me to complete this book. Thanks to Anna Seegers who encouraged me to write what I shared with her during our daily lunches. I wrote this book with you in mind. You are a very special person to me but, most of all, to God. You are safe in His palm.

A special thank you to Brent Glaze and Winl Lambeth who understood when my door was closed or my head was down, that I was focused on finishing this book. Thank you for giving me the needed space and time to complete this work.

To my beautiful daughters Care’ Sharpin and Jennifer Reese, thank you for believing in me and encouraging me to accomplish my dream. I send my love to my grandchildren Jacob, Michael, Etta May, and Esther; you give me immeasurable joy. I pray that you discover and fulfill God’s purpose for your life!

To my spiritual mentor Nicole Williamson, thank you for your continued support, your prayers, and reassurance that I could complete this project. I appreciate your tedious editing to make this book better. I could not have accomplished this effort without you beside me.

Over the past 25 years, Connie Genzer, you have been my sounding board and my north. Thank you for your challenging questions, for your unfailing love, and support. You are the wind in my sail.

Most of all, thanks to my heavenly Father, who placed within me a desire to write and teach. His continued pursuit of me overwhelms me every day. You were there when I tried to capture the right words to express how important we are to You and the depth of Your unconditional love for us. Thank you for Your faithfulness.

    Blessed Beyond Measure,

    Sally
