I am just an instrument in the hands of God.I was born at Ft. Rucker Hospital in Alabama. I was born in 1968 and have lived a full life.I have lived a few places in my life time, from Arkansas to Florida. I have even been to California.I have seen a lot of people and a lot of things. I have been to small churches, big cathedral churches, theatre churches, cowboy churches, country churches and even outside churches. But the greatest thing I have ever experienced is when the God of the Universe saved me and filled me with His Spirit. It is an amazing thing to have the power of God reside within you. Thank You Jesus for You paid the price that I might be here today.

The Raising of a Prophet - Renee Kelley

    Dedication

I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for to Him goes ALL the Glory and ALL the Honor for the inspiration and creation of this book.

Thank YOU JESUS! Amen, and Amen, and Amen.

The Raising of a Prophet is a book inspired by God and written from a mother’s point of view. This book is meant to encourage those who are raising extraordinary God-called and gifted children.

It is written to inspire and enlighten those who are the God-called and gifted as they face worldly challenges as well as natural and spiritual obstacles.

This book is not the authoritative word, but is filled with a lot of personal life experiences, challenges, and testimonies. This book has been inspired by God and breathed into my innermost being and must be delivered.

So if you are reading these words they are for YOU.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. This is a scripture that comes to mind as I type by the Lord’s strength and mighty hand.

Give Honor Where Honor is Due

There are so many people who have helped me along life’s way; so many people who inspired me and I admired from my childhood on up. I would like to share just a few stories that provoked me to strive for the greatest gifts and the deepest walk of anointing.

I have heard stories told of the sun pulsating downward like a heartbeat as it came closer and closer. I guess you would say God was just acknowledging I am here.

Visions and dreams of seeing those who have gone on to be with Jesus; it is as if to have a conversation with even Bible people who had passed on way before our time; I guess you could say portals opening and time and space, dates and years that held no relevance.

Blinded eyes opened, deaf hearing, speech restored. Others to have limbs growing, those who could not walk begin to run around the church. Those who had symptoms of stroke, begin to see a change in their members and memory.

I guess you could relate it to stories in the Bible when Jesus walked the face of the earth and yet it happened in my lifetime. I have seen or heard of true stories in my generation of the miraculous.

Men and women of faith coming forth and doing exploits in this hour of my lifetime. Seeing things to come and speaking it and then it coming to pass.

Men who had difficulty speaking plainly begin to rise up and take positions that most educated people could not achieve.

Men who were voted least likely to achieve raised up by God to lead a people into victorious challenges of greatness.

Men who had one pair of church pants and those pants were worn so thin they had to keep their coat on, and yet they preached to hundreds as if they owned all the silver and all the gold.

Men who were uneducated; some could not even write their name. But they showed the love of God and inspired many, who by far surpassed them in natural achievements.

Men who came forth against all odds and didn’t have much raising in the things of God, and yet before their passing they had rich and poor, small and great calling them for their divine importation of wisdom and knowledge.

Men who spoke with authority and all of heaven and earth knew they were a force to be reckoned with.

Women preaching, teaching, and prophetically being used of God, in a time when most wanted the women to just keep the house and raise the children. Yet God said, I have called you to do that and so much more.

Women who came up in my lifetime, who showed me that you could be a wife, a mother and still minister.

Women who ministered and yet the dress they wore was handmade by a family member. As they sung the anointing flowed, and as they spoke demons trembled.

Women who were quiet in the natural and powerful in the spirit.

Women of small stature and frame would just breathe on a person in a prayer line and it looked like lightning had shot through them and knocked them out under the powerful had of God.

Women who were bashful and didn’t like crowds, but would come before a congregations of people and captivate the attention of all, as they told of future events of the nation and the country.

Men and women who had not obtained much of this world’s possessions and yet what they obtained far exceeded the reward of heaven’s treasures.

The list in no way includes all that I have seen and heard and those I have been inspired by in my lifetime. Yet the one thing we all have in common is this: God can take a little and turn it into a lot.

    A Note from the Editor

In early spring of 2016, I first met Renee Kelley and her sweet grandmother, Little Granny.

Over coffee, we talked about Renee’s vision for this book; what she’d like to accomplish with it, and some of the thoughts she had on how she hoped it would come together.

Little Granny was a big part of the conversation; she shared some of her memories of Renee’s childhood - how God had worked, and how even in struggles, she could see God’s plan for Renee’s life.

Near the end of the conversation, Little Granny brought up how hard the struggle had been, and then she said the rewards were sure worth it.

Renee looked at her grandmother and said, Well, it didn’t start with us, and it ain’t gonna end with us.

    The We Factor

For years I have trained myself to speak the WE factor. My dad spoke a lot about we are praying, we are coming, we will see you soon.

He one day explained to me that the We he referred to was Jesus and him. So I began to consider we as a family, we as a church, and of course we as in me and Jesus.

So writing this book has been a challenge in more than one way. The first has been having to say a lot about me and you will see I on many pages. The Lord has me write the good, the bad, and the ugly about me and my family’s life.

This has stretched me further than all the things I have ever experienced. To reveal the hidden truths, the how to’s and possibly the what not to do’s. The revelation that no one’s life is perfect. But God does not choose the perfect. He perfects those he chooses.

I do thank my God and creator for continuing to perfect me, and still working on me even to this day. Thank you Jesus Amen.

    A Happy Dad

With great pride and joy and a thankful heart to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for my daughter Renee Kelley.

At the time of her birth the first business at hand was to dedicate her to the Lord.

I am proud to say GOD has used her in so many wonderful ways.

And now with paper and pen and much prayer GOD has spoken these words through her.

May it bring salvation, healing and deliverance to all those who glean from the pages of this book.

    A Happy Dad,

    Evangelist Eddy Disotell

    Special Thanks and Heartfelt Appreciation

A special thanks and heartfelt appreciation to all those who helped make this book such a huge success. I could not have done it without you all.

The characters in this book may seem fictional and the stories may seem too unrealistic to believe, but the people are real and the stories are true.

I thank you all for allowing me to share our story with the world. Thank you for helping me through countless hours of remembering decades back to the picking out of the photos. I do appreciate all the prayers and all the help.

To my loving husband who has always stood by me through all my many endeavors for Christ. He has been that stability in my life who kept me grounded, and has always taken good care of me and our children. He has been faithful and supportive through all of life’s challenges and the many endeavors for the cause of Christ. He has truly been my soul mate. We were bound spiritually before we were bound naturally. This is such an important key in a God-ordained ministry. I love you dearly, baby.

To my mom who has always been my cheerleader, encouraging me and telling me, You can do this baby. She never left my corner, no matter what the circumstances and no matter what the odds; a true woman of inspiration in my life; a true example of a mother’s unfailing love.

To my dad who pushed me forward, believed in me and loved me when I needed love, and treated me like a private and him a general in the army of the Lord. Through much tough love, he taught me how to survive great odds, when others had me down for the count and some had pushed me down and walked on past me.

My mom and dad both taught me to never give up and never give in. They taught me to fight for the right till our dying breath.

To those who loved me like their own.

To my mom’s husband and my dear sweet friend and fatherly image, Don Cobb who has always treated me like his own daughter. He cared for me and watched out for me and believed in me. He has always been a gentle giant and caring no matter what.

To my Dad’s wife who has been a dear sister, friend and motherly help, Sharon Disotell. She has been a strength and is faithful to check on us and pray regularly for us and has had a genuine love for us. She has taught me the way to love and serve with such grace and excellence.

To my little Granny who has been such a strong tower of what a woman of God should be, morning, noon, and night; a great prayer partner and a true inspiration in teaching me from a young child until this very day. A true woman of faith no matter what the circumstances.

Thank you to my brother Bud who has always been there. We have been through a lot and yet still we know no matter what, we can depend on one another through the good times and the bad.

To my brother Bud and his lovely wife Michelle Disotell who helped wipe a many a tear and would not let me give up and fall back into mediocrity.

A special thanks to my Pastor and First Lady, Keith and Tina Morgan, who really helped me grow and succeed when others thought I was a lost cause. They were a true inspiration during a dry and barren time and still remain faithful to this day, stretching me and growing me. They and the Morgan family taught me how to love. A heartfelt gratitude and thanksgiving to Matthew and Tooney Morgan who never let me give up on what was God’s ordained will and always had a hug and a smile. A special thanks to Brian and Belinda Morgan who have always encouraged me and been faithful friends. Thank you for always believing in me when I did not believe in myself. Thank you for being real. I would also like to thank God for a dear friend Larry Morgan who is now with Jesus, and his wife Debbie; they were such an inspiration and help during such a transition in our lives. I will never forget them praying me back from death’s door numerous times and being on call in the good times and bad times. A precious thank you to all those family, friends, and fellow soldiers of the Cross who have always believed in me and encouraged me.

And the list could go on and on. But I do thank God for all of you who have prayed for us as a family and been a source of comfort and help through it all. I pray for all of you who have been here for me and my family. May God richly bless and keep you through all of this life’s journey.

    Acknowledgments

A special thanks to my publisher, editor, photographer, creator of my blog and so much more, Beth Rogers.

Sister Beth, I thank God above that I was introduced to you. I appreciate so much all you have done for me, in helping create all these stories and life experiences in book form.

I know at times I have been a thorn in your flesh, but I do so appreciate you not giving up on me and the creation of this masterpiece in God’s hands.

I thank you for sharing all your knowledge and wisdom and helping me forge forward when I hit a difficult patch. When life had me focused in so many directions, and I could not slow down and work on this valuable project, thank you for not pressing. You were always quick to say with such gentle words The Lord knows and it will all come together in his time.

You are dear and most valuable to the kingdom to help so many like me get their message and testimony out. No matter who they are and what that message or testimony may be, you work with due diligence and much excellence in word and deed.

I am most humbled by the experience and most grateful for all your endless hours of help.

May God richly bless you here on earth and in heaven for all you do in private that no man sees but God.

A special thanks to Sister Sharon Ledford who helped me to refresh on a lot of my English composition skills and so much more. Thank you so much for helping me brush up on some vital information that I had forgotten after all the years; not to mention the earlier months of helping edit and compose. Of course, God only knows how much you helped me view through the reader’s eyes, and how to form my thoughts. May all that read understand that I came from afar. My dear Sister, I am so truly grateful for all the many hours you spent in prayer and fasting. You were always so kind to lend many encouraging words. I know only God can reward you for that time and the help you provided. May God so richly bless you for all the work behind the scenes that helped make this ordained book such a success.
