About this ebook

This book was written in relation to several prophetic words I received from my Heavenly Father. Indeed, I was commissioned by him to write a book concerning my calling, my godly mission, and the difficult journey I have experienced along the way.

Therefore, to those whose hands this book comes into, it is my sincere desire that you will see the goodness of God and not my wisdom or talent. In truth, I give you Christ, the one who has filled me with the hope of his glory.

Without a doubt, Gods amazing grace is truly like refreshing rain. For only through him I have endured the many trials and persecutions. He has brought me safely through the intended hurt and harm of many of my adversaries and has established my going.

Now I feel truly blessed. In fact, I am in the dawning of a new day. Through Gods steadfast love, I can truly say that weeping might endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

As I tell my story, I have decided to begin each chapter with an inspirational poem. I hope you will find great enjoyment in your reading.

    DEDICATION

T his book, containing my gracious testimony and heartfelt beliefs, is dedicated to my Heavenly Father and to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Indeed, all of the honors and praises resulting from my testimony I give to him.

This book is also dedicated to my church family, Holy Tabernacle for whom I am very proud of. Great grace be upon you all. It is also dedicated to my own family namely: my spouse Herbert, and four children: Donald, Octavia, Wayne, and Larissa.

A special thanks go to all of my siblings; Rutha Mae Clemons, Perry McMillan, Loretta Alls, Johnny Lee McMillon, Elnora Wilson, Mazola Colston, Jack McMillon, Mark McMillon, and Annie Doris Jones.

Thanks to all of you for enriching my life; and when I thank of all, it is as refreshing rain.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

T here have been so many people who have contributed to the making and shaping of who I am today. From the time I was able to be aware of them until this present time, there have been so many sowed seeds of inspiration, hope and goodness that come to my mind.

I will forever be grateful to those contributors to my development. As I look back, I can rejoice about the many trials and tests I went through, for I now know that they were only stepping stones on the pathway of life.

I lovingly acknowledge the influence of my parents, the late Leroy and Verdell McMillon. I also acknowledge the constructive advice from some other members of my family as well. Their love and support hold a deep place in my heart. A special thanks to my sister, Loretta, who work hard on this book in order to keep it on schedule.

Also, I would like to give recognition to my church family, Holy Tabernacle and some of my school chums. Their input and encouragement to my growth is well remembered. I also admiringly acknowledge the patience of my teachers with me at Cater Parramore High.

Truly, it is God who works the will and to do in us. So, it is he who gets the ultimate praise, for without him I would have never survived this far. Thank you so much Father God.

    PREFACE

E ven at an early age I have always had an inquiring and inquisitive mind. This insatiable curiosity was backed up by a strong determination to learn. On many occasions, I would read and search out books just to gain knowledge of what I wanted to know about the life God had given to us.

Interestingly, through my research, I found out that from the cradle to the grave God has always been a source of all life. Not only that, even before we were conceived in our mother’s womb, he knew all about us.

Throughout life, I have learned that there isn’t anything impossible with God. Everything I need in order to achieve my dreams, he has deposited within me. And through those great assets and institutive strength of mine, along with the correct discipline and his own set boundaries, I can fulfill my deepest dream according to his will.

I am convinced that I am a continuous work in progress. This gift of grace is given to all who trust in God.

    Refreshing Rain

Just meditating upon God’s love and care,

Refreshes me so deeply that I overflow with joy,

And I just have to give someone else a share.

The rain of sharing brings much more than I gave,

It produces glory after glory, wave after wave,

Lifting me up into the realm of high praise.

Come and joyfully partake with me,

And feast on this living bread.

He will do you good, lift your burdens,

And all of your cares of life of them you can be shed.

Refreshing rain comes only by intimacy,

The invitation is right now yours, accept it today.

The path is already prepared, it’s called, the grace way.
