    DEDICATION

              This book is dedicated to my grandmother, Tommie Mae Stovall. She is the one who introduced me to Christ and taught me about faith by being an example and showing me how to pray and trust God. This journey has been a wonderful one and I thank her dearly for instilling the love and Word of God in me as a child. I am her testimony and she is mine … .

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

              First and foremost, I want to give all praises to El Elyon, the Most High God; Creator of Heaven and Earth for blessing me in more ways than I have yet to comprehend. Thank You for your faithfulness toward me. You are worthy of all my praise forever! You give me life, strength, and peace. You are my everything; my reason for being … my I AM! I look over my life and marvel at how You’ve loved me—beyond my shortcomings and into Your perfect will. You are the love I have searched for; great was the day I finally realized that You loved me before I ever thought about loving You. Every gift I have is yours. My life comes from and belongs to only You, my Father, my King, my Lover … my Friend!

              To my pastors, leaders, and spiritual parents; Pastors Creflo and Taffi Dollar, thank you for answering the call of God and teaching the Word with simplicity and understanding. It is through your enlightenment that I have journeyed down the path of greater understanding and am able to reach out to help others. (I’m a WORLD CHANGER!) You have taught me and spiritually educated me on how to overcome religion and seek a relationship with God and doing so changed my life. You are my spiritual covering and I have come to know God personally and by name because of you! I love you both for being a shining example of faith, character, love, and integrity.

               I would also like to thank the ministry gifts of Bill and Brenda Moore. You two have stood beside me in this journey and showcased God’s heart for me in every way. I thank God for you both and I am blessed to have you in my life. When I was unsure of myself and my gift, you encouraged me and for that I will be forever thankful. My ministry is stronger because of you.

              To Keva, my best friend and sister, you are my confidante and covenant partner. Since day one you have always supported me. I know God brought us together because only He can craft a friendship like ours. Your friendship to me is so pure. You have demonstrated to me what it means to be loyal, caring, and understanding toward others. Through you, I’ve learned how to be a better friend and a better person. I only hope to one day be there for you just as you have been there for me.

               Mom, what can I say about you except you’re the bestest! Thank you for taking the time to pour so much into me. Thank you for molding me into the woman I am. You are my inspiration; without you, I would be incomplete as a woman. When I didn’t know what to do, I followed your example and look where it has led me! When I look at you I see the hand of God because I know that He hand-picked you as the woman to lead me into His divine purpose for my life. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me personally and parenting me according to what I needed to be successful in life. I love you!

               To my dad, thank you so much for always loving me. You have such a pure heart. Admittedly, it took me a while to realize just how much you love me, but I got it now and I love you back! I am proud to be your daughter. To my Aunt Dolores and Uncle Harold, thank you both for being an active part of my life. For always giving of yourselves and doing whatever needed to be done to make life more comfortable for me. I love you both and will never forget your labor of love. I will surely pay it forward!

               Thanks to everyone who helped me realize this dream and had a hand in this project and in my ministry, specifically, my business consultant, Wantae Ezell; my editor, Brenda Tate; my graphic designer, Evelyn Alvarado; my Web designer, Monica Gibbs; my photographer, Augustin Langlais; my proofreader, Carmen Glover; and my business liaison Dawn Ogden. Each of you are responsible for the success of this project and I am extremely grateful for your contributions.

              Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank everyone who encouraged me along the way. While there are too many of you to name, each of you know who you are. I love you and pray God’s blessing over you now and forever.

    INTRODUCTION

              Romans 1:17 says the just shall live by faith. That means faith should be a lifestyle or a way of living for those who are just (or who have been made righteous by faith in the blood of Jesus). Still, it’s very sad that although this Scripture tells us how to live, there are people who have no idea what this really means. Even worse, some people actually understand what it means to live by faith, but have no idea how to take it from the Bible and practically apply it to their daily lives. This is a tragedy that I have been commissioned by God to get involved in.

              In no way am I proclaiming to have all the answers about faith. I am a student of faith myself. However, through this book, I intend to peel back the layers of the sometimes ‘multi-faceted’ subject of faith and break it down in a way that you can understand and apply it to your life. Richard Bach said, The simplest things are often the truest. I cannot help but agree!

              Sometimes people are so deep about biblical subjects that when others arelistening, they might walk away thinking, Okay, I get it, but how do you actually do it?Have you ever felt that way about a biblical topic? I’m sure we all have. The subject or task might have seemed so overwhelming that we became discouraged and went back to our old ways of doing things, even when it wasn’t working for us. It cannot be this way with faith.

              First and foremost, faith is not as complex as many might think;
