Rolinda Butler

Rolinda Butler is an international evangelist and teacher anointed by God who has travelled the world using her enlistment in the United States Army as a vehicle to spread the gospel wherever her assignments took her for over 20 years. Her unrelenting efforts to spread the gospel of peace led her into many different countries. Though languages were sometimes a barrier, the Holy Spirit always showed up to make the connection. Her teaching ministry style - simple yet effective - draws people of all ethnicities. Upon retiring from the military the call to pastor became more evident as her passion was to see broken people healed, delivered, and set free. Being a single mother serving in the military proved to be challenging, but her faith in God prevailed. She didn't have a whole lot of struggles, but God delivered her from them all. Rolinda's worst failures always turned into her greatest triumphs. Whether broken relationships or unions, she's always had an innate will to succeed. In the words of her late mother, Henrietta Alexander, spoken to her dear Aunt Vernice Dingle, "Watch out for her... she's different and people are not going to understand her." But being different has proven to be successful as that is what keeps her focused. Being passionate about family, life, love, and people pushed her into the role she possesses now as a pastor. Pastor Butler is determined to help others fulfill their destiny by changing their thought process through the Word of God. There have been many mistakes made, but she found that in God His mercies are new every morning. Pastor Butler has served as the founder and senior pastor of Awesome Faith Ministries in South Hill, VA since 1997. She is the author of Early Morning Visitor, a book that navigates you through a journey of spiritual discovery and a closer relationship with the Holy Spirit. She has three adult children and eight grandchildren.

Early Morning Visitor - Rolinda Butler

    Preface

As you travel with me through this book, I pray that the Holy Spirit will visit you as He has done with me so many times in the past and still does. May He lead and guide you in all truths and tell you everything that the Father has in store for you. In these visits I’ve learned that my destiny is not left up to chance but is left up to me. Knowing that God has preplanned my future has helped me to go through every tough issue in my life. Jeremiah 29:11 states, For I know the thoughts I have towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you an expected end. So you see nothing just happens; your life has been predestined from the foundation of the Earth.

There is nothing that happens in your life that doesn’t have a purpose or meaning. Never let anyone tell you that you are a mistake. You were purposed in the heart of God and conceived by your father in the womb of your mother to do great and mighty things through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Remember, the book of Genesis reminds us how we’re created and why (see Genesis 1:27-28). So with that in mind go forth into your destiny.

Years ago God put a book in my heart entitled, I Keep Giving Them My Heart. During the editing phase, my one and only copy was destroyed by a fire. Saddened and distraught, I put my pen down vowing to never write again. But it was not to be. Over the years I have attempted to rewrite that story over and over again. I even tried to write new books but for some reason I could never finish any of the manuscripts until now.

So on August 24, 2015, I was awakened earlier than usual and I knew then it was the time and season to write, An Early Morning Visitor. The Holy Spirit started out by saying, I’m glad you are here; let’s get started as there is much work to do. Even though I will not be able to put all of my experiences in this book, I’m hoping that what I have chosen will help you through your journey in life. Remember, there is a book in all of us, whether we choose to write or tell it, the story must be told in order for others to overcome.

ALSO REMEMBER, PEOPLE THAT SEE US AS WE ARE CAN NEVER HANDLE WHERE WE’VE BEEN. SO BE CAREFUL THAT YOU DON’T ALLOW OTHERS’ PERCEPTIONS TO BECOME YOUR OWN.

When we allow people to have power over us, we find that God has less power. In fact they become our God, because we allow them to control what we do or think. So what we are actually doing when we let others’ thoughts control us is slowing down the process of our destiny which causes us to lose faith in God. When we don’t have faith we don’t have access to God and without Him everything is impossible for us. But once we take back our power from people and use their thoughts about us as stepping stones instead of stumbling blocks, we will soon realize that God being with us is better than the world against
