Foreword
This being my first piece of literary work to be published, it captures the intimate part of my life and undying relationship with the Lord God. This book was inspired by events, and revelations within my life, and the lives of others within my circle of friends. As I begin to write, my inspiration becomes that of the Holy Spirit, for it has brought to my memory, many things that I had forgotten. Within this book one will find a wealth of knowledge based on experiences, both natural and supernatural. Biblical facts, revelation through process, but most of all a renewed relationship with Christ Jesus and Jehovah God, who establishes our paths and in whom we have our life and being. As each reader begins to explore the pages of this book it is my prayer, that in this work you will find the way. For truly we all are Called to Purpose. What is your purpose?

Chapter 1
The Call
So the last shall be first and the first last; for many are called, but few chosen.
—St. Matthew 20:16
In the Word of God, it is written in the Gospel of Matthew 22:14 that many are called, but few are chosen.
When I first read this, I thought it to mean God called some and He chose some, but after years of reading this and walking in this, I discovered a totally different meaning. While it is true that God calls many, not always does everyone whom God calls answer the call, and in the same token, many will answer. What I discovered is that out of the many that accept the call, God will only choose few for His divine purpose. For just like a basket of apples that has been harvested, not all that have been picked and placed in the basket will be suitable for consumption.
This is my story and my testimony. I was raised in a single-parent, Christian home with lots of help from caring grandparents, aunts, and grandaunts; I had eight siblings, five brothers and three sisters, and out of nine children, I was the eighth child. Things were hard in those days during the late 1950s and through the sixties.
My mother worked as a cleaning lady for an affluent Jewish family, the Severances, and also cleaned for and worked in an antique shop for the Bagleys, whose father was the mayor of the city of Detroit in 1929, and a downtown Detroit street was named after him. Sometimes she would take me to work with her, and I can still remember those big houses, those large mansions we would pass on our way to the Severances. I can vividly remember my mother working hard to support us. We were a
