About this ebook

Haven't we all roamed enough in search for what only God can give us? Often we find ourselves repeating ungodly patterns, we blame our passivity, distorted perception, and our inability to cope and let go of past pain on those that have afflicted us; While denouncing accountability and straying away from the root of those issues that lie dormant within our hearts. Within these 10 chapters Janay has used words of encouragement, questions, scripture, personal experience, enlightenment, and has provided tools to help those that have found themselves depleting, repeating demonic cycles, sinking in doubt and roaming in search for a home that they've always had within Jesus Christ. Often we allow the length and magnitude of our battles to dictate the power and promises that God possesses and has given us. During this journey let's decree and declare that fear, worry and clouded judgment will no longer be our resting place but instead we'll rest in the home we've always had and that's within the heart and arms of Jesus.

    Introduction

Passivity that is… well, that’s what I soon learned to call it. I was a firecracker, promiscuous, violated, rebellious at a young age, the black sheep of the family, and divorced at 20 years old. But it wasn’t until I’d hit 31 where I’d begin to realize that the roots of suppressed pain, abuse, and self-hatred would soon rise like the Statue of Liberty rising to its rightful place out of sheetrock and gravel. I never knew that pain was there until my arms and legs became its canvas. Until everything they said made me cry. Until everything they said triggered the touched girl I was as a child, and until everything they said wrapped around my heart as a cloak and made me run and hide. Why is it easier to hide behind anger, timidity, frustration, judgment, silence, personality, pride, stubbornness, and rebellion? I’ve noticed that people who haven’t endured a broken heart, haven’t felt abandoned, haven’t been misused, or that haven’t been placed on a shelf for later, are less likely to ask you, What’s wrong? Are you okay"? While they’re blinded by your exterior and call it boldness and security, those of us that have felt the same pain know that it’s just a defense mechanism weighed down by the weight of what we’ve chosen to suppress. Now, you have some who are familiar with pain and the issues of life, but they turn a blind eye to the agony of those with familiar spirits due to the fear of running into unaddressed wounds and becoming vulnerable. See, somewhere beneath all that gravel and sheetrock, we allowed our voice to be snatched and our lips to be sealed by the same duct tape that would soon keep us tied and stuck to our past. We will soon begin to realize that the weight, depth, and length of our purpose is wider, goes deeper, and weighs more than our past. We’ll soon realize that the power of destroying generational curses is activated once we break our silence, and we’ll soon realize that what we thought was bigger than us was never bigger than our God! Someone once told me that passivity was a choice, but as we dig deeper into the process of healing and being receptive to deliverance, we soon begin to find out that passivity is just another ungodly spirit orchestrated by Satan to keep us tied and buried under the roots of our past; to keep our mouths shut, our heads hung down, and to keep us hanging by the strings of guilt, shame, disappointment, manipulation, and the opinions and false expectations of others. May our eyes and ears be open to God’s truth. May the tape that has kept us silent be removed and destroyed. In this season, may we find our voice. May we be willing to stand. May we be willing to denounce and destroy everything that has kept us bound, frightened, feeble, doubtful, shameful, passive, and paralyzed in repetitive cycles. May we be given stamina to endure, and to break down every wall that was mortared and every door that has been bolted to keep us trapped, locked out, and buried beneath the lies, tricks, and snares of the enemy. May we love and help others without neglecting to love and help ourselves. May we be willing to serve God with our whole hearts and with our very being. May this season be a season where our faith is unwavering, and our vision becomes clear. May we hide His word within our hearts, so that we as His people won’t sin against Him. May everything, we do be done with the love of Christ. May our hearts be changed, our lives transformed, and our spirits renewed. May we encounter God on another level in this season, and may He continue to equip us for what’s to come. May everything at the root of our heart and soul that has held us captive mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and
