INTRODUCTION

It is my hope and earnest belief that these writings will bless and encourage your spirit to trust in the God of your salvation. The journey of being fully formed in Christ and being known in Him is a unique experience that will transform your life. As I have tried to convey within these writings it is not an easy experience, but I can definitely affirm that it is a worthwhile journey to see Him with an unveiled face.

It was never my intentions to share my writings with the public, although I would occasionally allow some people to read them. I began to write approximately 12 years ago, and I just did it out of boredom and a way to express the thoughts in my mind. After getting saved my inclinations towards writing things became more spiritually guided. All my writings are comprised of my own proclivities, but also of the struggles of people I have met over the years. So after a while they became cathartic and a way for me to truly express myself, and to somehow express the struggle I believe others also encountered – the human condition.

As you continue t0 read you will observe that my writings have changed… progressed over the years. It was never my intentions for them to be a spiritual map or expression, but for them just to explain life in general. And as I tried to make them more general, somehow… I guess… God tried to make them more spiritually specific. For instance, all these scriptures that are intertwined (especially at the end) were never my intentions at all. To tell you the truth, I didn’t even know where three quarters of them are found. But I guess I knew something was going on especially after I wrote Process and Suffering because they were totally inspired by God. At the time I wrote them I didn’t even truly start my process – I was still pretty young in the Lord. Sometimes when I read them, I am amazed at the hand of the Lord, especially how they correlate to my life after I have written them.

I still find myself crying when I read some of them. It brings all the emotions and feelings of the situation back for me, whether it was good or bad. To read how far God has brought me and to see how He has always been with me. I was very hesitant to share Broken with people because I felt shame towards it. Not necessarily because I was messed up at the time, but because I had such an inaccurate view of God. But thankfully by His grace He changed that, and revealed to me that many people also have and incorrect perspective of Him, and just like me many are ashamed and hide those feelings and it eats them alive. But thanks be to God whose grace and mercy is able to remove a multitude of sins and His everlasting love is more than able to save us.

So my brothers and my sisters who are deeply loved by our God, if there is one thing I want you to get out of this it is… trust God… to the end - for He is faithful that promised. Know with certainty that God is for you, that He has a plan for your life, and that He will not make you ashamed. Believe in the word of God, not what somebody else has told you or what you have been taught per se, but believe God… believe His word. Let me clarify this, because I know some people might misunderstand. I’m not saying don’t listen to your spiritual head/authority or an elder and be rebellious and cause anarchy, but I’m saying do not let someone else’s words or opinion have dominion over God’s word – they must correlate. Yes, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged.

LIGHT IN DARKNESS

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Genesis 1: 2-4

We tend to get thrown off course and get caught up in life’s situations and daily circumstances. We lose track and shift our focus at the predicament at hand. Before long, we find ourselves so entangled in this thing… this thought… this action…this matter…this circumstance, that we become lost in it. What it first began as, it no longer is. This thing, has mutated into something we never imagined it could be. But yet it stares us in the face… unmovable, reluctant and unwavering. It has grown into this hideous beast that overwhelms us and now controls us. Is it real or is it fantasy? No matter how obscure it is, it still affects us. Unaware and powerless, it possesses us, and it traps us in a veneer of illusions, which is now guised as real images. We now walk about as though this is life… this is truth, and that this is our normal way of being. However, we are blind and walk without a cane; using are minds to guide us. It is no longer reality, but perspective; and yes… I am aware that perspective is reality. But, it is simply a contrived illusion to them that are blinded by its ambiguity. Thus, perspective is no more reality than monsters hiding in our closets waiting to devour us.
