About this ebook

For author Dr. Demetra S. Arvanitidis, the word “MHTRA,” or “womb” is inherently holy. It’s a place of warmth, of protection, of comfort, and of nurturing. It’s a refuge—a place where we are kept safe until we reach maturity.

In The MHTRA Mandate: What the World Needs Now is a Womb-an, Dr. Demetra offers an exposition of the meaning of the word “”, or MHTRA. She explains how it applies to women in daily life, how it relates to our general vocation as women and as individuals, how an understanding and revelation of the meaning of the word is vital for peace, prosperity, and the resolution of many of society’s problems and for global peace and prosperity.

    I

dedicate this book to all the women who are living out their callings as the MHTRA and to all the men in their lives that have been there to support them; to my three amazing kids, Pavlos, Marios Timothy, and Evangelia Luz; and to all future generations who will reap the fruits that result from their mothers who follow the MHTRA mandate.

    Acknowledgments

I want to thank my mom, Soula, whose unconditional, relentless love has been a manifestation of the MHTRA in my life and who has been one of the main inspirations for me for this book; and, of course, human words cannot express how grateful I am for my loving Heavenly Father, God; my Savior and best friend, His Son, Jesus Christ; and His Presence, the Holy Spirit, who has been my teacher and taught me everything I need to know.

    Preface

I didn’t put this in the acknowledgment section, because it would have taken too much space, but I want to thank my husband, Yiannis, who is my greatest gift here on earth. I know I don’t always and have not always shown it, but I am grateful to you, Yianni, for faithfully sticking with me through all of the ups and downs in our lives and for being a constant in my life when so many things increasingly, rapidly change. Even if you may not always know exactly what to do, your faithfulness and strength provide me with the stability I really need. Thank you for loving me even when I and the circumstances surrounding us have not made it easy.

Thank you, reader, for allowing me that seeming digression in this section. In actuality, it’s not really a digression, because without the support and love of the men in our lives, the MHTRA cannot be established; the two are synergistic. Before I get some of you feminists totally angry at me, allow me some space to explain.

First, let me start by briefly explaining what the MHTRA is. I’ll go into more detail about this in the remainder of this book. The term MHTRA, pronounced m-e-tra (or mee’-trah), comes from the Greek word μητρα, which means womb.

Basically, this book is an exposition of the meaning of the word μητρα, or MHTRA, how it applies to us women in our daily lives, how it relates to our general vocation as women and as individuals, and how an understanding and revelation of the meaning of the word μητρα, or MHTRA, is vital for peace, prosperity, and the resolution of many of society’s problems, as well as for global peace and prosperity. Also we will learn how a true understanding and embrace of the meaning of the word MHTRA and its application in our lives as women does not risk or insinuate replacement or supersedence of the men in our lives; rather, it guarantees a revelation of the vital role the men in our lives play for us as women to live out our vocations, our callings, and our purposes in a synergistic way. This leads to joy, peace, and harmony, which result from the fruitfulness in our lives instead of strife, discord, and stagnation, which result from replacement or supersedence.

I pray that after reading this book, all of you women will embrace your calling as bearers of the MHTRA and solidify your appreciation for the men who have been placed around you to bring the purpose of the MHTRA to fruition in your life.

I feel I should qualify my writing this book by saying that the fact that I am writing this book does not imply that I myself have perfected living out the MHTRA calling. Indeed, it is something that I still work toward, and I believe that God is working in me to act according to His purpose (Philippians 2:13). And as in the words of the apostle Paul, "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have
