About this ebook

Talitha Cumi, Little Girl, Arise! is an unveiling of the image of God and the utter importance of women taking their true place in the heart of the Father. As women discover the real meaning of hard-to-understand scriptures, they will be enthralled with both Paul and Father God’s love for them. While reading this revelatory book, the reader will be totally convinced that the Apostle Paul was not a misogynist, but instead, he had a deep appreciation and love for all female members of Christ’s body. The truths contained within this book will dispel confusion and instill a great honor in the men for their wives and sisters. These same truths will drive out all discouragement in the women and fill them with joy and excitement about the Father creating them as a woman. Never again, will these precious ones feel negative about themselves and their role on the earth.  Marriages will be healed, inner wounds mended and the body of Christ, the Ekklesia, will enter more fully into its divine purpose through the divine revelation that is contained in this book. The necessity of the full image of God will be understood and with that, the importance of revealing the fulness of Christ in His risen glory through each member. Some of the important life-changing truths covered are: honor, pride’s power to block all understanding of the true meaning of the Scriptures and the main reason women are hindered and mistreated within the world. While reading about the hidden and unknown teaching called, hatred for weakness, the reader will find answers to many questions. Thank you for purchasing this book, dear reader, and I promise that, as you allow these truths to enter into you - you will never be the same!

    Dedication

To the most wonderful heavenly Father that keeps revealing His heart of compassion and love to me. His love is amazing! To the Son and the Holy Spirit for all that they are in my life. To my special ezer kenegdo, Marie, whom I love and appreciate today more than ever. To all the special children and grandchildren that God has given me; you are all a blessing to me. To the Tabernacle of David (Huette Davids) body of Christ, what a wonderful honor and blessing it is to be your pastor. To all the many spiritual children around the world, thank you for making a father glad!

I want to give special thanks and appreciation to some people; first, three special spiritual daughters: Jenny, Ruth, and Nikita, who spent a lot of time helping type and go over the book for me and with me. Thank you. Your help was wonderfully important.

To all the supporters that gave financially to help get this book published—thank you very much!

To all the many people around the world that prayed for me to write this book and to complete it, I am certain that it would not have been possible to write this book without your help.

Lastly, but not least, I deeply appreciate all the people that love me, accept me, and want to be a part of my life. Thank you for helping me to understand and to be a family together!

I’d like to make one final comment concerning this book and dedication. As an act of honor, I chose to capitalize references to God (including related pronouns) but to use the lower case in reference to satan. I realize this is not the standard. Thank you, reader, for understanding my heart in this matter.

    Foreword

    WE are in revival.

Not only have we been taught many, many times over that we have to love one another with the love of God, but that it has to begin at home. We also learned about pride and humility, about humbling ourselves when we manifest sin instead of perfect love, and that we have to become pure vessels for the Father to live through us.

Our lives, although labelled Christian before, are now showing the reality of biblical truths and daily we go from glory to glory—this time in reality, and not in theory only. WE, now, are truly loving each other in our marriages, families, with our children, and with the Church, which is, in reality, the family of the Father with brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers in all purity.

We are in revival because of this vessel, Greg Violi. He is a fantastic Bible teacher but he is also the first man of God I know that manifests these teachings in daily life with his wife, family, the Church, and wherever he goes. So, instead of trying to live like Jesus, we are now corporately becoming His body. At the time of writing, it pleased the Father to deal with misogyny in our men and their entire bloodline according to the truths revealed in this book Talitha Cumi; and we can see the women starting to arise in beauty and dignity. They are receiving business ideas, opening their mouths with wisdom and are becoming in fullness the part they were created to be: a helper that’s making the fullness of the true image of God in His body possible.

Since we have started to go into the reality of the truths taught in this book, we have been experiencing ongoing corporate change among the women—and the men—into a freedom and joy that was merely imaginable before. Our Father is glorious among us, His children, and we are beginning to look just like Him. You will be changed as you read this book!

I’m honored and excited to write an endorsement for this book written by my spiritual father, Greg Violi.

I grew up as a daughter of an evangelist, in a family with a lot of religion and disorder, so I had a great mistrust towards leaders, pastors, and most definitely, father figures! I’d never seen true honor, unconditional love, or understood what it meant to be covered until I became part of this ministry.

I will never forget when I met Papa Greg Violi for the first time. The church that I had been a part of talked a lot about GREG VIOLI and his teachings; it was almost a little bit too much for me to constantly hear his name; because in my understanding, a man was still just a man and I didn’t want to just hear preachers’ names, but to get to know God. Keep in mind that I grew up with a father that preached all over the world yet at home there was no life, love, reality, or peace! So, with him being my example of a man of God, I had no trust in the vessels that God used.

The first night I heard Papa Greg Violi speak was at a house church meeting. As soon as he started to speak, my heart began to receive something that I’d never experienced before! Deep inside my heart I knew that every word he was speaking came right from the mouth of God with no guile, no hidden motives, and no agenda of promoting or presenting himself. Also, the topics that he spoke on were something I had never heard anyone speak on before, except for the pastor of our little house church that was under Papa Greg Violi. All I knew about the Christian life until that point were outward things, but then I heard this totally different message. Papa Greg shares about the heart, pride and humility, love and the heart of the Lamb, as well as healing of the deep pain that’s in people’s hearts and deliverance from trauma. I thought I knew about God and Christianity but it wasn’t until I came under this ministry that I met Jesus personally and I knew I had never known Him before.

This endorsement is not about me, but I want to share how deeply Papa Greg impacted my life. I can tell you in all the truth of my heart that he is the same person behind the pulpit as he is during the rest of the week. He lays down his life to see people being healed, delivered and brought into a life of abundance and joy, in deep relationship with our Father in heaven. He is, by the grace of God, committed to be a vessel for perfect love.

It says in the word of God, By their fruit you will know them, (Matt. 7:16a) and I’ve personally seen many people’s lives being radically changed, families being restored, hearts being healed, and pain being taken out. This book will change your life! I just deeply encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you and not to judge, and you will be forever changed as you read this book.

It is an honor for me to write this endorsement for my spiritual father in the Lord and the book Talitha Cumi. I had the privilege of experiencing so much truth, healing, freedom, and love through the ministry and personal life of Pastor Greg Violi. I, myself, come from a really broken and religious family, where I heard the word of God daily but instead experienced hatred in my everyday life at home. I was very wounded, heartbroken, and had thoughts of suicide.

As a woman, I often thought, I wish I was a man, because as a woman it seemed that if you didn’t have anything to offer, that was worth something in the eyes of this world, you were the guilty one and everything you said and did was wrong. But through the messages and the life of Pastor Greg, my life started to change in a radical way as the Lord set me free from countless lies and bondages. I experienced the pure and true love of God, which started to heal my shattered heart and restore my soul in such a deep way. The truth started to invade my heart.

What really touched my heart deeply is the honor and love Pastor Greg shows his natural and his spiritual family. The first time I saw and heard him, I was deeply touched by the attitude of his family towards him; all four of his daughters and his wife sat in the first row and listened really carefully to what their dad preached on. They all looked so whole, and as if they seemed to know who they were, which is, beloved ones.

The love and honor the children had towards their dad really amazed me, because I come from a pastor’s family and know what children of pastors go through. They often don’t even want to hear what their dad has to say because they don’t see the reality of it in the privacy of their homes. You could tell that Pastor Greg lived what he said, just by looking at his family. The honor he shows towards children, towards women—and towards men— started to change my thinking and life tremendously. This presence of honor lets you feel special and welcome, and heals all dishonor and trauma that we experience in this world. It’s an honor that doesn’t depend on what you do or accomplish or how you look, it’s simply because you are an eternal being and are precious to God the Father who made you.

Dear reader, I know when you read this book, you will be deeply touched by the pure love and truth in it. You will experience a cleansing from all defilement and the sense of guilt and fear the world, and the Church, put on you. This book will open your eyes to what God the Father really says in His Word about women, and how much honor God bestows on women! May you be deeply blessed, changed, and set free by reading it.

    Jenny K., Bielefeld, Germany

    Preface

During the period of writing Talitha Cumi, it became apparent that it would not be conducive or beneficial to you, the reader, to list all the research, information, and linguistic understanding of original words involved in the preparation of this book. Also, it became clear that the Father did not want me to write a technical, intellectual book to fill readers’ minds with voluminous words for the purpose of proving a stated conclusion. Therefore, I opted out of trying to create a volume of information regarding God’s original design for women. I chose instead to create, through the help of the Creator, a revelatory book that will change, heal, bless, and release people, especially women, into fulfilling their eternal purpose.

This book will have a great impact on any man that will read it with an open and hungry heart. He will also be much more prepared to fulfill his eternal destiny. By understanding the role of the woman, he will understand more deeply and joyfully his own role as a man!

One final word; since I will not be quoting from all of the research I did in preparation (other than direct quotations from author’s writings), I have provided a list at the end of all the books I used in my research for Talitha Cumi, including some that I recommend the reader investigate if they desire a more thorough understanding of the subject.

    An Official Apology and Introduction

I have been in full-time ministry for over 35 years now and I have never had any desire to preach the Scriptures that seem to be negative toward women. I defended myself for all those years thinking I was right. What I failed to realize was the immense significance of what the Holy Spirit desired to reveal to me regarding His precious women and femininity in this universe and in the eternal purpose of the Creator. I have been totally shocked by what the Holy Spirit has revealed to me while writing this book. I now can see the damage that could have been averted if I had searched the Scriptures sooner! He has literally revealed to me the meaning of all of those hard to understand Scriptures concerning women. So, I ask forgiveness of every woman for not caring enough about you to really search the Scriptures concerning God’s heart toward you.

The reason I never felt moved to preach those Scripture verses was because deep in my heart, I knew they did not reveal the humility that I saw so clearly in the heart of the Triune God, and pride always turns me off. Unfortunately, I had no idea that my total lack of concern greatly affected my sisters in the world.

After praying with thousands of women in many nations, beholding the tremendous pain they carry, and watching the Father heal so much within them, it is the right time to share some of the insights the Holy Spirit has given me in order to bring about a major healing to all His precious gifts to the world and to the body of Christ: the gift of a woman!

If you are a woman in a typical Church in almost any nation in the world, then you probably feel somewhat awkward with the men in your church, possibly even your own brothers, father, and pastor. You might feel that your place within the family and within the Church is very limited to a certain section, like working in children’s ministry, in the kitchen, or nursery. You very well might have a deep inner feeling that men think you are not as important as they are, and to even consider yourself as important would be an error.

Dear sister, know this: you are a very special addition to humanity and to the Church of Jesus Christ. It is the Lord’s desire to heal any inner pain, fear, or sense of inferiority that you may have carried for so long. Father desires that you take back your honor that may have been stripped away from you and that you regain your position as His daughter, right next to Jesus (your Big Brother) on His throne!

And to my dear brothers in Christ, you also will find many answers to hidden questions within your heart regarding the true place of a woman in life and within the Church. The Father will kindle a new love, a new honor, and a new appreciation within you for your sisters in Christ. May every person reading this book come much closer to the heart of God by the time they are finished.

This book has been an adventure that has been thoroughly worth every moment of struggle, toil, and pressing in.

Rich blessings and love in Christ Jesus!

    Chapter 1

    HUSBANDS FIRST

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

    ~ Genesis 2:18

The Amplified Bible translates Genesis 2:18 as, Now the LORD God said, It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—a counterpart who is] suitable and complementary for him."

Young’s Literal Version says, "And Jehovah God saith, Not good for the man to be alone, I do make to him a helper—as his counterpart.

The Complete Jewish Bible says, ADONAI, God, said, "It isn’t good that the person should be alone. I will make for him a companion suitable for helping him."

Some translators interpret this verse as meaning, Eve was to be the other half of Adam, like him, but with opposite attributes.

On our next wedding anniversary, Marie and I will be married for 40 years, and it is quite amazing how many couples we know who, like ourselves, are complete opposites. It seems that we men desperately need our wives’ input, wisdom, ability to complement us, and to bring a wholeness to us as our counterpart. Apart from this we would remain fragmented, incomplete, and undone. It was the mouth of the Lord God that said those very important and completely true words, It is NOT GOOD for a man to be alone! (Genesis 2:18, emphasis mine).

Why do so many people affirm that opposites attract? Could it be that they are beholding in the spirit their other half who would make them complete and whole?

When Marie and I were first married, I thought deep within my innermost being, it is so good that we are together; we really need and love each other. But I love her a little bit more than she loves me, and she needs me a little bit more than I need her. After all, isn’t she the weaker vessel? Hidden within my heart was this deadly element of pride that would have me put myself above my wife. When we held a conversation, I would straightaway speak whatever was on my mind (I think my Italian blood had something to do with that), and only then would I ask my precious counterpart, What do you think? I expected an immediate answer from her. The response I received was either silence or other phrases that I quickly learned to hate; I don’t know, or, It doesn’t matter. Well, to ME (and at that time in my life, this was very important), I thought, I asked you a question! When someone asks a question, they deserve an answer! RIGHT? So, in time, I started to think (deep within my hidden parts), What is her problem?

Well, after reading a book about God-given temperaments, I learned how we each have a temperament that has been given to us by our Heavenly Father that fits our personality perfectly and that there is no such thing as a bad temperament. I finally came to realize what Marie’s problem was.

Her problem was the one that assumed she should be like him, instead of the way God had made her to be. Put very simply, her problem was ME! My wife, Marie, is a very special person with unique and special qualities that deeply and specifically complement me in so many ways. After 40 years of being together, I can truly say it is not good for a man called Greg to be alone!

Now, there were many times that my hidden pride did not want my other half to express her opposite opinions, thoughts, and feelings, but I have learned to deeply appreciate them today. Maybe, just maybe, it’s because my hidden pride has lost so much inner strength in me and the beautiful humility of Jesus Christ has gained so much strength in me.

In his book The Flight from Woman, Dr. Karl Stern demonstrates that in its intuition and feeling, society has drifted more and more away from the role of the feminine and more and more into the masculine and rational mindset.

After 35 years of working with thousands of men and women and witnessing the consequences of this drift away from the feminine, my conclusion is that we need each other.

If at any time the half becomes the whole we will become fractured, blocked, incomplete, and miss out on so much that our Father God wanted to do for us, in us, and through us in the world.

This excerpt from the introduction of Dr. Stern’s book The Flight from Woman is enlightening.

The problem of activism – a lack of balance between action and contemplation – is said to be characteristic of our time. The man of restless energy, the hustler and go-getter, is a figure familiar to the popular imagination; one associates this kind of life with organization men, managerial and executive types.

Whenever we psychiatrists have an opportunity to observe this kind of person as a patient, we find at the bottom of it all a maternal conflict and a rejection of the feminine.¹

The High Privilege of Men on Earth

Men have been created to demonstrate through their leadership the very heart and purpose of God the Father and to establish His Kingdom and His will on earth. "And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land" (Isa. 32:2 KJV). According to this Scripture, a man is called to bring into his home, his workplace, and his world, four great blessings.

The presence of a man shall be:

    1. A hiding place from the wind

    2. A covert from the tempest

    3. Rivers of water in a dry place

    4. Shadow of a great rock in a weary land

A man has been put into this world to become a vessel for the Living God to dwell within. When the Father dwells in a man (see Eph. 4:6), he will become these four blessings to his wife and children. Let’s look at the spiritual significance of these blessings.

    1. A hiding place from the wind

The wind can blow dust particles into the eye, it can become infected, and a person could possibly lose their eye. The presence of a godly man will bring covering and protection to his family.

    2. A covert (shelter) from the tempest

The enemy will try to come in like a flood, and a godly man’s presence will be a shelter so that the evil one will first have to penetrate his wall of protection. But, just the presence of a man full of God will be the shelter in the storm.

    3. Rivers of water in a dry place

The presence of a man should bring refreshment. Family members (especially the wife, as the weaker vessel) can need refreshing waters, and the presence of a godly man will bring these to her thirsty soul.

    4. Shadow of a great rock in a weary land

A protective, cool hedge from the heat of life.

In summary, a godly man should bring to his family covering, protection, safety, refreshment, and security. A man will experience true happiness as he learns to enter the joy of the Lord. Joy is set before any man that will embrace suffering as a way to reveal the glory of his Master’s cross. "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Heb. 12:2).

One day, Jesus said to His disciples that they would be truly happy if they did what He was doing. What was Jesus Christ doing at the time? The King of glory and the Creator of the universe was washing their feet.

"So, after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them" (John 13:12–17).

Happy and thoroughly blessed are you if you do these things. The Passion Translation says, "I speak to you timeless truth: a servant is not superior to his master, and an apostle is never greater than the one who sent him. So now put into practice what I have done for you, and you will experience a life of happiness enriched with untold blessings!" (John 13:16–17).

Whatever the Bible says about women, one thing is for certain; it clearly says that men are called to treat women with humility, appreciation and a deep sense of responsibility and honor. Peter said that if a husband does not demonstrate honor toward his wife, then his prayers will be hindered or blocked.
