About the Author
Dedication
To my wonderful husband Pedro, our children, grandchildren, my parents, and my amazing Sunday School teachers Robin and Glenn Hohman for your love and encouragement all of these years in ministry. Life was indeed a little easier because of the Godly wisdom you all shared with me.
Acknowledgment
I give all the glory and praise to God, for giving me this opportunity to share what He and He alone, has placed in my heart with the world.
Everything I went through was for a reason, the trials, and all the circumstances were so I could grow in the Lord and helped all the people He has placed in my path.
God used Pastor Bill Wilson, Senior pastor of Metro International Church in Brooklyn NY; to introduce me to the true love I was searching for.
And as I decreased in Him daily, I had to learn not to worry about things I’d face through this life’s journey. I want to thank my wonderful husband Pedro Marti for loving me in Jesus, for all his encouragement. Also the huge encouragement I received from so many special people in my church FBCWP. My thanks go to: Navy Captain Glenn Hohman, and Robin Baab- Hohman my amazing Bible teachers and encouragers and to Robin for the amazing godly art work she put together for my front cover… Oh’ how I love you both so much; to John & Bonnie Mitchell for being my best friends; to Carl & Sylvia Webb, Wanda Irwin Rocky and Judith Carson, David and Margaret Kohs, Gerald and Lyn Richardson, Peggy Wroten, Carl & Rachel Cahill, Coach Friedley, Dr. Eddie and Sandy Waldheim, Ann Anderson, Nancy Moore, and to Hazel, an angel from God! Thanks to all my children and grandchildren; to Jose for always saying, Mom, you can do it.
To Edith, Kristie, Victor, Pedro Jr., Robert, Joshua, Leonel.
Destiny, Elias, Isabela, Joey (Miguelito), Charisma, Nathaniel, Mileena, and Christina, my grandchildren for always telling me that I’m the best grandma in the world!
To Peter Odriscoll (Pastor O) for letting God use you in my life,
Thank you for Loving Jesus! COMPLETE IN JESUS CHRIST!
Introduction
Many times we find ourselves needing something in our lives that will make us complete. Looking for that special someone that will take our breath away. We all want to be happy and complete, but many times we find ourselves alone with no one who is able to fill the void deep in our hearts. Too many people are looking for love in all the wrong places. What is love? Is it that feeling of joy and happiness? Is it the warm feeling inside of you that happens to be indescribable? Or is it the pain that leaves us broken-hearted in the end. Can it be an emotion that gives us hope, but also gives us a detailed picture of our reality? How can one word be the root to so many different emotions? Mankind has given love a title, a title that will never be hard to change in this world. Sometimes man confuses lust for love and hearts are broken. But the Bible tells us that God is love. Presently people are blind to the truth; but the only way to find the true meaning of love, is to know God. Are you ready?
Chapter One
Looking for Love in all the Wrong Places
A multitude of people is searching for love and acceptance in all the wrong places. Many children have the horrible experience of living life without a father’s, or a mother’s love, guidance, or teaching. Nevertheless when they reach maturity a void within begins to bother them. After being in ministry for so many years I found out that there is no difference with children who were surrounded by amazing parents all of their lives, because even they too can feel the same void. Every single one of us begins to search for the love we believe we have missed out in life. This is especially true of children of divorce. Many parents are unaware of the damage they cause their children when they decide to divorce or separate. They have the focus on the (me, myself & I syndrome) and forget that there are little children who are counting on them for love, encouragement, and life training. It is clear that our decisions have a ripple effect. Believe me my friend every child needs the love of both parents. Sometimes it can’t be helped. Maybe one of them was abandoned by the other, or one passed away, and the other has no choice but to raise their children without a partner. No matter what
