Ruth%20Web.JPGIntroduction
Pleasing God is what it is all about today! There have been so many times I’ve heard that Jesus is soon to come, that he is coming back very soon. I believe that Jesus is coming back. When? No one knows, not even Jesus Christ. Only God himself knows. But we all know that one day, he will crack the sky, and every eye shall see him. If there has ever been a time to please God, it is NOW! This should be every believers’ desire and dream—to please God. We want to please God just because he is God! Because He loves us unconditionally with an everlasting love! He gave Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, so that we can live forever. We want to please God here and now, on earth, today and every day! When we get to heaven, it’s a done deal. For where your heart is, that is where your treasure is. Where is your treasure?
Chapter 1
I Want to Please God
That’s Where My Heart Is
Being a born-again Christian, a child of the Most High, the Almighty God, our will, our goal, and our heart’s desire is to please God!
What child that you know of doesn’t want to please his natural mother or father? So as it is in the natural, so it is in the spirit.
So what does pleasing God look like? The Word of God informs us of what pleases God. It also reveals those things that God hates.
Well, we know that every good gift we have has come from God, and he wants to give us pleasures forevermore.
In gratitude for all he does for us, what can we do to please him?
We will be ultimately fulfilled when we fulfill God’s purpose for our lives. We are most satisfied when we please God. We will be looking at scriptures that tells us the things God delights in.
Worship is the only thing we can give to God.
We must have faith to please God.
So if faith pleases God, what do we do when my faith falters?
1. Do a spiritual checklist: Am I reading scriptures? You must feed your spirit man.
2. Am I praying daily? We must have a dedicated prayer lifestyle.
3. Ask yourself, Do I have something unresolved in my life? If so, repent, ask for forgiveness, line it back up, and get it right.
4. Are you currently sinning? If so, repent.
These are a few of the main issues that will affect our faith. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him
(Hebrews 11:6 KJV).
When we obey God, we please him! Noah pleased God.
God told Noah that the end of all flesh had come before him. Noah was a righteous man; he
