About this ebook

The purpose of this book is for each of us to experience Gods love and Gods unfiltered passion for us, and that we learn God on a personal and intimate level. That we become proactive in seeking God and as a friend once said, Pursue the God that pursued you.

My prayer is that as you read this book, the words will spark a deep desire within your heart, mind and soul to learn the truth about God. A desire to learn the truth about God, His love for you, His will, His purpose for your life, and so much more! I heard a minister say, Each generation has to find their own truth about God. Therefore, it is my continuous desire that we find our own personal truth in God and allow that truth to be our compass.

This book is a tool for you to use daily. Read it, meditate on the word, write down your revelations because the real awakening is revealed once you go beyond the words on the following pages, dig deeper into the word of God and spend time in prayer. As you dig, I promise that you will see truths never seen before, and you will experience a revelatory flow from heaven that is just for you!

Seek God.Pursue GodExperience God as you actively learn about His goodness, mercy and love.

    Foreword

The passages you are about to read and experience were birthed during a juncture in my life when I was determined to learn and know God for myself, and become proactive about my relationship with God and my Salvation. I started reading the Bible for myself; I took the word and allowed God to pour into my open heart and mind. My prayer was for God to teach me and reveal to me whatever He wanted me to know about Him and His word.

Therefore, my prayer is for God to open your heart and pour in new revelation that is designed just for you; designed for where you are right now in your life! Let God’s word become a living, breathing, walking instrument inside you.

    For Our Revelation

My hope is for this book to be presented and received as a conversation. The reason is very simple - I do not wish to talk at you, but I want to talk with you about God. Therefore, as our conversations end, I encourage you to go deeper and set into motion a conversation with your Heavenly Father - allow His heart to touch your heart, mind and spirit.

    Love

Did you know that God loves you? He does. He loves you so much that He risked His Kingdom for you and me! Yes, His Kingdom, His company, His position, and His future – He risked it ALL for us. Remember growing up during your teenage years, when you thought you knew more than your parents (or any adult for that matter), and you made crazy decisions to satisfy the ‘now gratification’ called fun? Remember your parents saying Are your decisions or the things you are doing now worth risking your future? Risking your life? The questions were always, what is the risk and are your actions (fun) worth the risk?

God risked all he had for us, without any guarantee that we would accept Him and love Him, but for the possibility of our love. Let me restate that, God risked His entire Kingdom for the possibility of our love. The risk God took for you and I has yet to be matched by anyone or anything (it is the most astronomical risk ever taken). Most people will not discuss what God laid on the line for us; they will not discuss the details of God’s risk. Perhaps it is because of the fact that God is all knowing (which He is) and because His word does not return to him void (which it does not). Simply put, if God sent His Word (His Son) to earth to accomplish a task, then His Word (His Son) would NOT return to Him unsuccessful. Therefore, the conversation of God risking anything is unnecessary for some, but not for me. The notion is that God knew that Jesus would conquer hell, thus God really did not risk anything. Let us try to look at both sides of the coin. I think it is important to know what God was willing to give up to love us – intimately (one-on-one). God risked losing His Kingdom (Heaven and Earth) in order to intimately love us the way he originally designed (His original design as mentioned in Genesis 3:8).

God wanted to walk and talk with us, but we allowed satan to put a wedge between us and God which created distance and separation. The solution to the problem of sin was and is Jesus; therefore, God sent His ONLY son into the world to save us, reunite us and bring us back to His loving arms. I have a son; I have not met anyone for which I am willing to give my son’s life. Isn’t it wonderful that God does not think as we think? I thank God that he loves you and I enough to risk everything. Don’t you? That is true love, real love, and everlasting love.

The word is Jesus and we know that the word became flesh; therefore, Jesus entered a world of options. God put the weight of the world onto Jesus because He knew that Jesus could handle the pressure. However, Jesus taking on flesh put him in a situation to choose. We know that Jesus did feel the pressure of life because he admitted to God that he did not want to go through the suffering, but he also knew that it was not about Him. He knew that God’s will was the only matter at hand. That is why he told God, ‘nevertheless, not my will but your will be done’.

    Matthew 26: 39-44 (NIV)

Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will. Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour? he asked Peter. ⁴¹Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.

He went away a second time and prayed, My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done. When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

Some people teach that Jesus was upset because Peter and the other disciples could not stay up to pray (verse 41) but I believe that Jesus was under tremendous pressure, His flesh wanted to walk away and return to his Father, but his Spirit (because he has the heart of God) was willing to fulfill his destiny. I believe that he was in a serious tug-of-war between his spirit and flesh. He wanted his disciples to pray with him and pray him through that tug-of-war; pray that God would give him strength to face what was to come next – his death.

Now, what if Jesus had given up? He was about to be put to death for the sins of mankind and the very men he chose as His disciples couldn’t even pray through the night with him. What if he looked at the disciples as an example of why he was about to suffer and said we were not worth the pain. Let that thought sink into your mind - Selah…

If Jesus had let all the feelings, emotions, and fears that he was experiencing overtake him the devil would have had all power and God would no longer be the Sovereign God. God would have had to give up his entire Kingdom (Heaven and Earth) to satan. Again, Let that thought sink into your mind.

Thank God, Jesus had the heart of the Father to see the vision in order to keep pressing on and praying to God even when his disciples fell asleep.
