In Loving Memory

This book is dedicated in the loving memory of my beloved, sweet, kind, and loving mother, Lillian Beatrice Mitchell; my brother Ralph; and my twin brother, Rufus.

Have you lost a loved one—someone close and so dear to your heart? That was me with my mother and brothers.

I often think about the good times we shared together, the laughter, the times they stepped in and helped me and my children out when no one else would. They will always have a place in my heart.

My twin brother had been addicted to drugs and alcohol for over thirty years. But God! My prayer for him was that God would save him and that he would be active in a church. Praise be to God, he did just that. My twin brother gave his life to God and became a deacon and an usher in his church. He will always have a place in my heart.

We are aliens here on this earth. We are only passing through. These bodies that we are in are only temporal.

Have you ever felt lonely, helpless, like you are in this gigantic world all alone and you have no one to call upon?

I have been there, and I had to remind myself that I am not alone.

I wrote this book to encourage each and every one who reads it. You are not alone in this world. You have a Savior who loves you, who has promised you that he would never leave you and that he would be with you until the end of the world. His name is Jesus Christ.

This book is filled with scriptures on the promises and the Word of God to lift you up and let you know that you are not alone.
