About this ebook
There is something extremely troubling about driving down the freeway only to realize that the “check engine light” on your vehicle has come on. Especially for most women.
Written with women in mind, this guide to troubleshooting common auto problems is written by a former female diesel mechanic with the U.S. Air Force who enjoys outperforming boys on their turf. Destiny Simon walks you through how to:
understand the language of auto mechanics and auto parts staff;
make simple repairs on your air conditioning system;
overcome the fear of trying to fix vehicle problems on your own; and
prolong the life of your vehicle with preventative maintenance.
Simon also explains how to read dashboard gauges, the difference between synthetic and traditional oil, how to take care of a vehicle’s transmission, and more.
Working with mechanics and auto parts staff and doing simple repairs yourself should not be stressful or hard. Find out how to troubleshoot common vehicle problems and prolong the life of your ride with the tips and insights in Auto Education for Bling-Bling Women.
Destiny Simon
As a sergeant in the United States Air Force, my last job was Diesel Mechanic for the Minuteman missile, and then I trained and became a Refrigeration and Air-conditioning mechanic. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands I enjoy learning how things work which has helped me become a good mechanic. I wrote this book to help my friends when I’m not available as I’m always the go-to for car problems. Most of my girlfriends were divorced or single with children and income was a challenge so repairing their cars would cause stress getting it fixed. My friends knew that I could tell them what was wrong with the car and if I could I would fix it for them. Like when the Air-Conditioning doesn’t blow cold air or something is leaking under their car. I didn’t mind helping I enjoy doing it and I would like to help you. I wish I could come to your house and look at your car, and tell you what’s wrong with it but I can’t so I wrote this book so that I could be your girlfriend and help you with your car. Just because we’re bling-bling women doesn’t mean we have to be uneducated about our cars.

About the Author
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing my book. This journey has been long and hard but worth it. I want to share with women—future friends—things I learned that can help to make your life with your car better.
I served in the US Air Force for eight and a half years, and my job was fixing engines. I was first trained in refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanics. Then I was trained as a diesel mechanic for nuclear missiles.
