INTRODUCTION

Several years ago, my wife and I decided to quit our jobs, move from the city, buy some land and try living off the land. We thought about growing our own food and raising some livestock. Well, after our savings were nearly gone, the bugs and raccoons ate most of the veggies we were growing, and we never did end up with any livestock, we decided to choose something we always loved—Classic Cars.

We had both been into cars since we were teens. Many times our dates turned into rebuilding engines or spending time at the Speed Shops choosing new mag wheels, the latest in awesome shifter knobs, or colored lights for under the dash (no LED lights yet)!

Between the two of us we had owned many, many cars. I’m talking pre-1980’s cars. After we were married and had a house with a two-car garage, one of those spaces was always taken up with a classic car which we would work on together.

When our daughters became old enough to drive, we bought each of them a classic car. We couldn’t afford to buy cars that were in great condition so we purchased ones that needed some
