As the sun came up, Blueberry knew it was going to be a great day.
Blueberry said to her Mother, ‘I am going to play with Margie and Wolf. We are going back to my old bush next to the stream to say hello to my old friends.’
Miss Poisonberry said, ‘That would be fine, but I want you home by dark.’
‘Yes, Mother,’ Blueberry replied.
She flew off to Margie’s cave, only to find Margie and Wolf were still asleep. She sat there and just watched them for a while, but it was too boring. She tickled Margie’s nose with her wings, and then she hid so Margie would not know it was her. Eventually Margie sat up, and Blueberry flew up to Margie’s face, with a cheeky grin.
‘Oh, Margie, you’re awake? It’s a beautiful day. Would you like to go to the meadow’s?’
‘Yes, that sounds like a good idea,’ said Margie. She rubbed her eyes and scratched her nose as she looked around.
Blueberry asked, ‘What are you looking for?’
‘Oh, I felt like something was tickling my nose, but it must have been a dream.’
Blueberry laughed and nodded. ‘Hmm… it must have been.’
They made their way out of the cave, and Margie went for a quick swim before starting her day. When she got out, Margie’s mother had a freshly opened coconut ready for her for breakfast. Margie said thank you to her mother, and told her she was taking Blueberry to the meadows to play.
After eating, Margie headed off with Blueberry and Wolf by her side. On the way,
