Mary was an 8-year-old girl who loved to read books and play with her dolls. But there was one thing that made her feel uneasy, and that was making friends. Mary was very shy and found it hard to talk to new people.
One day, Mary’s teacher, Mrs. Johnson, announced that they were going to have a field trip to the zoo. Mary felt both excited and nervous. She had never been to the zoo before, and she didn’t want to feel left out if the other kids made friends.
