Sandy Kay

Sandy Hemphill is a self-proclaimed “wordologist”. She states, “I just love words! Nothing else is so precise, so descriptive, so influential. Words are the one thing we can never ‘delete’, or ‘take back’, because they stay forever! They can be amended, or added to, or elaborated upon, but they are forever “out there”! Sandy was born in Ohio, moved to Florida with her parents shortly afterward, and at age 5 returned to Ohio for her education. After retiring from a career in the medical field, she returned to Florida after 70 years of longing for the palm trees, the magnificent birds and foliage, and of course, the wonderful sunshine! Seldom are we able to fulfill a lifelong dream, and she is living hers! Sandy can be contacted at sandykay512@gmail.com

    About the Author

    True Stories

    The Beginning

Life happens on our way to forever.

This is a collection of true stories, dreams, visions, and poetry and was not planned –at least, not by me! The beginning startled me, for I was just living my life as I normally did. One evening I had been reading in the book of Psalms. After I talked with the Lord, I went to bed and soon fell asleep. After a while I woke up very calmly, and realized I had a phrase going through my mind, something sweet about the Lord. It was followed by another phrase, and I thought, Isn’t that funny? It rhymes! As I was thinking about it, another phrase followed, and then another, and I thought, Wow! I’d better get up and write this down! It’s pretty neat, and I sure couldn’t do that on my own! It must be because I was reading Psalms! So I got up, found a notebook and pen, and recorded what I just heard in my head. Several more phrases followed, and I just wrote what I heard.

In the morning, I read what I had written in the middle of the night. I was so surprised by what I saw, knowing that I had no natural ability to produce something like that! So began many evenings of being awakened and writing, and after a while, I tried writing in the daytime, trying to express my thoughts, observations, and experiences as I saw them.

As time went on, I began to have other odd things happen, such as dreams and visions, which were new to me. Now, don’t freak out! I believe there is a dimension around us which is invisible to us most of the time, but sometimes God will pull back the curtain for a very short time so we can see into that other dimension; one very special experience was when I was blessed to actually see my mother go to heaven! Just wait until you read that one (Mom’s Escort)! Some are bizarre (The Shoe)!

There are other times when I have been in dangerous situations, and have had angelic rescues, as angels have been sent to minister to us, and they do! There are too many reports for these not to be true! You may find it hard to believe or accept, but these are some things that happened to me, and I feel blessed to be able to share some of these things with you.

I hope you will be blessed by what you read.

    The Throne Room

Shortly after I was saved, I went to the church one day for prayer because my heart was grieving over my marriage relationship and I was in great sorrow over it. The pastor and his
