This book is dedicated to my children, Allie and Zach, who have been the foundation of my hope and strength; to my family and friends, who have been with me through these trials and tribulations; and to the Riess family, for their continued love and support.
INTRODUCTION
I’m a runner. Not an avid runner, but the type of runner who thinks running is a good way to stay in shape… and it also allows me to have that little bit of junk food now and then. I am a real person, though, so I hope you can relate to my journey. If I can touch one life and help one person through the pain of a divorce by publishing this book, the work will be entirely worth it.
You might be wondering if this entire book is designed to encourage you to run, but you can rest assured it is not. Let me also make mention of the fact that I love short, easy-reading books. That’s because I believe I have ADD. The thought of writing a two-hundred-page book makes me shudder! So I’m keeping it short, simple, and to the point—the way I like to read. The message I want to share is pretty simple anyway, and I know
