About this ebook

This book takes readers further than just having problems with overeating or food addictions. If you are tired of going to bed and thinking about what you ate during the day and having food on your mind all day long than this book is for you. This book shows how some people have an actual sickness when it comes to food or an AFFLICTION if you will. I believe God is still in the healing business. Are you willing to give up your food affliction to Him?

Cheryl Bellmore

Miss Bellmore has dealt with eating problems for over forty years. She has been over 200 pounds and an anorexic 104 pounds. The Holy Spirit prompted her to write this book at an altar call when He showed her that she had an affliction or sickness around food that God could heal. It was no longer just about overeating or not eating. God was going to heal her and get her to a healthy weight so she could serve Him in a healthier capacity. She was tired of praying for help on her new diet. She now can pray for help on becoming a healthier, whole person through the help of the Holy Spirit in her life.

FAILURE WILL NEVER OVERTAKE ME IF MY DETERMINATION TO SUCCEED WITH GOD'S HELP IS STRONG ENOUGH

This quote will stay with me as I work with God's help to overcome my food affliction, and as I write this book.

    I WOULD LIKE TO

DEDICATE THIS BOOK TO MY MOTHER WHO NEVER SAW FAULT IN ANYONE. SHE WAS A WOMAN OF GREAT FAITH AND A PRAYER WARRIOR. IF SHE WERE STILL ALIVE TODAY I WOULD BE EXCITED TO SHARE THIS BOOK WITH HER SO SHE COULD BE HEALED OF HER FOOD AFFLICTION. SHE LOVED SO MANY AND WAS LOVED BY MANY. SHE WAS TRULY ONE OF THE GREATEST INFLUENCES IN MY LIFE.

THANKS ALSO GOES TO MY NEICE FOR HER MUCH NEEDED ENCOURAGEMENT.

    CHAPTER 1

T here I was, standing in church, on November 15, 2015 as the altar call was given. It was a fairly specific altar call this week. My pastor was asking for anyone to come forward who was dealing with any affliction that they had been dealing with for a long time that they wanted to be prayed for to be healed. I just stood there and suddenly there was a stirring inside that I should go forward but I was not sure why. We were singing the song GOOD GOOD FATHER by Housefire. The first verse says:

I was just listening to the words to this song and realizing that no matter what I would be dealing with that God would be with me. I would not be facing anything alone. As I went forward and began to pray, the Holy Spirit showed me that it was time for me to deal with my problems with food. He showed me that it was MORE than just a problem with food. It was more than just an addiction. It was more than just overeating. It was an AFFLICTION and I was going to be healed so I could start telling others about a new way to look at their problems with yo-yo dieting, crash dieting, fad dieting, binge eating or anything else they were doing that was unhealthy and was hurting their body. I was so excited I almost came home and started writing that very moment. What I did however was toss this idea around a bit with my pastor, my sister and my nieces to see if I was completely off my rocker or if this made any sense at all. As it turns out, they were very excited about the idea and felt that it did need to be taken further. Talking to my nieces, ages 16 and 13 was particularly gratifying as they felt that a lot of kids and teens could use this information. This could benefit people of all ages.

The second verse to that song goes like this:

I was searching. But, I felt for the first time I knew which direction to go. I knew I needed to do some healing myself and then tell my story. That is what I want to attempt to do.

But, first you must digress with me a bit. I did not get from birth to this big revelation without going through some things in my life. I would like to talk to you about some life stories that I think attributed to me becoming food afflicted. Maybe
