()
About this ebook
In I Made It on Broken Pieces, author Marvin Howard shares his autobiographical memoir that chronicles his life from homelessness to superintendence, as he grows up in a broken home yet from those pieces finds a way to put his life together. Relying on his youthful dreams and hopes, Marvin was able to create a new family with his teachers at school, and with this new sense of pride he earned success in athletics before attending college and himself becoming an educator. Yet in the end, his story is one of faith, as he is called to the ministry to pastor and help improve the lives of his loved ones, his students, and his congregation.
The Rev. Dr. Marvin Howard is an example of how we can make it through the tough times in lifeeven the worst of times. With perseverance and dreams, Marvin was able to change his own life and go on to make a difference in the lives of the people in his community. As he says, If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it.

THIS BOOK WAS INSPIRED by my children (Jerome, Angel, and Landon). They placed a tremendous amount of pressure on their father.
When Jerome was in elementary school, he wrote a book called, Standing on the Shoulders of a Giant.
In his book, he wrote he admired his father so much. I have cried many times because of the things he said about me in that book.
If anyone knows my daughter, you will understand when I make this statement. My daughter has said to anyone she has met, Don’t mess with my daddy.
My daughter and I have a bond I cannot describe. Whatever it is, it is unbreakable.
My youngest son, Landon, came into our lives after our two oldest had left the house. My wife, Susie, and I were lost. We had too much time on our hands and needed something to do. Landon has been a godsend and wonderful addition to the Howard family.
I thank my children for sharing me with the world. Many times I missed a function they were performing in due to church or
