Behind Closed Doors
Well here we go, I have never written a book before but it has been prophesied to me that this will be the first of many books.
God has given me a peep into the future of this book many years ago.
At this point I do not know in what order the book will be written, I just know that I have to write it and I have to
start somewhere.
The title of this book has never been an issue because the Lord spoke to me regarding writing this book some time ago and at that time he gave me the title of the book.
This book is dedicated to the people in my life that has always stood by me and the ones who turned their backs on me. I know that sounds a little crazy but I have found that both sets of people had a place and a purpose in my life.
First of all to my children Reco, Natalie (David) and Edmond II (E.J.) I love you endlessly. To all of the children that have been a part of my life over that years that call me Mom I thank God for you. To my sister Brenda Norman thank you for giving up your childhood for me and for sharing your family with me even after you were married. I thank my brother-in-law Haywood (Bubba) Norman for taking me into his home and taking care of me as if I was one of his own children. To my sister Kathleen Times I thank you for all the laughter and for always being yourself. To my grandchildren Da’Qwone Hill, Jer’Ron Hill Isaiah Patterson, Kevian Leary and Adrian I love you guys to life.
To Kathryn Baker (Wayne Baker) and Angela McDowell my sisters in North Carolina I love you Words can not begin to express how wonderful it is that God allowed me to be your older sister. (big little sister) To my brother Carl (Big Daddy) McDowell I love you to life.
To my nieces and my nephews I love you and always remember to love each other. To my aunts and my uncles in North Carolina I love you and thank you for being there for me. To all of my cousins in North Carolina and Virginia thanks for loving me unconditionally. And last but not at all least to my parents Phillip and Arnetta Grice and Bishop Charles and Cora McDowell thank you for your guiding hands in my life.
Remembering When
At this point I want to give you a little insight as to who I am and how I came to be who I am in Christ. I want you to know the little girl who became a teenager and then a woman of God.
All of us have a past and it is not always pretty, but it is still your past. Some times we seem to think that things would have been better if we could have changed
