Again and Again God Answers Prayer
()
About this ebook
Throughout this book, you will read of instances where God has repeatedly answered prayer. At one time, He took a heart that was devoted to him to meet a need because of prayer. Through prayer, God signified his unmerited love. And still yet, God answers prayer in a most astounding way, using one vessel to speak to another vessel who heard his word and acted on it.
We serve an almighty God who loves us unconditionally. His word never fails. Prayer is the key that unlocks every door to answered prayers.
Just knowing that God will show up and answer prayer is comforting, but it can be the most exciting when we encounter him in a most unassuming way.
Again and again, God answers prayer.
Miltonetta Atwater
Miltonetta accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in August of 1979. Throughout her life, God has answered many prayers. He has supernaturally intervened at times when no amount of explanation could be found. Her life became exceedingly different when God kept showing up. She was a member of the Greater Faith Baptist Church for fifteen years, where she was under the mentorship of Dr. Joseph L. Slade. There she gained much knowledge and matured in the Word of God. She served as President of the Voices of Faith Choir and was designated Woman of the Year in 2001. She also served as a Sunday School Teacher and served as a deaconess. Miltonetta now attends Calvary Christian Center in Elk Grove, California, and has been a member there for approximately eleven years, where God is further developing and equipping her for ministry under the mentorship of Drs. Phillip G. and Brenda K. Goudeaux. She is a member of the Calvary Christian Center Choir, teaches the Holy Spirit class, and coordinates a prayer team at Calvary Christian Center on Friday mornings while also participating in prayer with the Hotline to Heaven prayer line each morning at 5:00 a.m. She has two wonderful sons, Leslie Charles Walker Jr. (recently deceased) and Darryl Dwain Walker. Her goal in life is to become the woman of God that the Lord has purposed her to be so that He will be pleased and glorified in all that she does.

INTRODUCTION
I learned after becoming a Child of God that I could have it all through Christ Jesus who saved me one day so many years ago. I never thought that my life would amount to what it is today. Because of Jesus Christ, who took my place at Calvary one day and bore all my sins and paid the ultimate price for me, I stand before a loving God whose Grace, Mercy and Righteousness is overwhelming. Without Him I would be nothing. Without Him, my life would not be worth living nor would I have the joy that captivates my heart each time my heavenly Father answers prayers.
On October 15, 2016, I lost my eldest son. Never could I have gone through such a devastating time in my life if I did not know a God that could answer prayer and take a situation so overwhelming and unexpected and turn it into a journey in my life that would sooth the very core of my heart; with an understanding in my spirit of His love for me while answering every prayer that I spoke out of my mouth and every prayer deeply hidden. I, at first, thought the journey was for my son but God showed me later that the journey was for me as He prepared me for the ultimate trust in Him of answers to my deepest prayers……….
Because he loves me,
says the Lord,
"I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he
acknowledges my name. He will call upon me,
and I will answer him……….
Psalm 91:14 (NIV)
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I am indebted and so thankful to the Almighty God, Jesus Christ and HOLY SPIRIT in helping me to put this book together. Without being led, this book would have not been completed.
I thank my family, especially my siblings, Ladye, Dena (deceased), Victoria, Charles, Marilyn, Matthew and Pamela for their support at vital times in my life. I thank my sons Leslie, Jr. and Darryl who are the sunshine in my life.
I am grateful for my best friend of 38 years, Evangelist Connie Clark, who has been tremendously supportive and allowed me to use her as a sounding board.
I also want to express my sincere thanks to my good friends Dr. Beverly Swanson-Powell, Betty Gardner and Lynnis Woods-Mullins for their never ending encouragement in inspiring me in my endeavors.
Lastly, but certainly not the least, my pastors, Drs. Phillip G. and Brenda K. Goudeaux of Calvary Christian Center in Sacramento, California for loving the Lord with all their might and teaching the gospel so that I could stand before the Lord and realize the plans and purposes that He has for my life.
PRELUDE
It was early in the morning and the sun was coming up.
Oh no,
my mom moaned, we are out of milk again. Gotta get to the store before everyone wakes up.
I was nine months old at that time and just as cute as a butterball I was told. My mother always got up early to make sure that the house was warm and that all would be well before everyone started moving around for she loved talking to the Lord early in the morning and her prayer was always; Lord, take care of my family as the day rolls on. My mother believed in talking to the Lord about everything. She would pray in the morning, in the evening and right before we all went to bed. My dad felt that talking to the Lord on a daily basis was a waste of time because if he needed God to do something he would talk to him then. Being the first born in the family made my birth something special. My aunts and uncles would come by and say where is that special bundle of joy that you prayed for?
You see, before I
