Introduction
I n the grandest of time, in the grandest of task, one has to be at one’s highest of self. To be at one’s highest of self, one has to be at peace, one has to have peace within oneself. One has to be proactive, one has to be productive, one has to be pervasive, one has to be deductive, one has to be nonabrasive, one has to be perspective, one has to be active to do the deeds one has set out to do. One cannot be meandering, one cannot be wondering, one cannot be pondering, one cannot be daunting, one cannot be floundering; one must be focused, one must be on task, one must be intentional, one must be targeted, one must be where one must be to do what one must do. My friend, to achieve such task, such deeds, one must find clarity, one must find serenity, one must find peace and tranquillity. One cannot do what one was set out to do without peace in thy heart, without serenity in thy soul, without tranquillity in thy spirit, without calmness and stillness in thy very being. One must take on the challenge, take up the task, do what one’s inner being desires, inner soul seeks, inner spirit speaks. One must look within the self, within the soul, within the spirit, within the self’s very being for such answers, such rewards, such wisdoms and truths, such lights. To do so, one must look closer to the core of such inner ambition, such benediction and conviction to thrust the self to become one’s highest self in this troubled time. My friend, to begin such journey, such task, one must be willing to look into thy soul for such purity of light, life and love. To such, the soul is then a free roaming spirit where neither boundary nor dictations bound its paths, its trajectory but that of pure desires and ambition, motivation, determination, inspiration. To that, then, one must look into the core of such to find that of inner peace to guide thy path, thy way, thy direction, thy guiding light to where one desperately seeks and desires. For to obtain such peace begins with finding calmness, having stillness, obtaining serenity, maintaining tranquillity, and keeping fast to that of purity.
In the grandest of time, too, is that of the grandest of upheaval and turmoil; the self has to be willing to shut out the noise, turn down the volume of chaos. For inner peace is that of a gentle tune, a soft sound, a mellow melody. Inner peace is that of a rare jewel. One cannot find what is yet to be found. One cannot find inner peace without slowing down, quieting down, calming down. For having inner peace is no easy task. Inner peace is the purity within the self that only when the mind is quiet and the heart is calm shall inner peace be visible to the self, be apparent to the soul, be open to the self’s very being. You see, to have peace begins with knowing the beauty of tranquillity. To have tranquillity is to know the beauty of stillness. To have stillness is to have the courage to look within oneself through the lens of purity, the simplisticness of life itself. For the simple purity of life is that of a rainbow, the bluest of skies, the whitest of clouds in the clearest of days, the gentle breeze of an early morning sun, the chirping of birds calling each other for who knows but only they understand the beauty of such love songs, the warmth of the sun in a mid summer’s day, the soft sounds of raindrops, the icy blanket of snow, the fresh dew of a morning sunrise, the first blossoms of early spring, the innocence of a child’s laughter, the smile of a newborn’s angelic face, the warmth of a family’s love, the coziness of a grandparent’s hug, the cheerfullest of greetings from loved ones after a long day in the sun, the arrival of one’s true love after a lifetime of searching and waiting, and the joyful moment when a family begins with little feet. You see, the simplistic things in life are the truest, purest beauty of all.
How can one see the beauty of life in such a chaotic world? How can one not crave, long for materialistic fulfillment when such can lead to inner peace in this time? Without knowing one’s future and perhaps where the next meal will come from, how can one see through what is seeable into the unforeseeable in inner peace? How can one cast aside things of this world to seek that of inner peace when the chaoticness of this world overshadows all that is pure and simplistic? Ah, my friend, in the midst of life’s turbulence, there’s a sliver of calmness. Thou hast to quiet thy mind, open thy heart and listen without judging, without battling, without questioning the truest and purest of nature, then the dark clouds shall be but part ways for thy light. Clarity will become one’s true desires. Gratitude of the simplistic things in life will lead the way to calmness; calmness opens the gate of tranquillity, and tranquillity leads the path to inner peace. Inner peace is where one shall find what one has been searching for but not found all of thy life. For in inner peace, one already has what is given unto thee. One is content.
