Finding You Rosy Path by freeing your spirit

We need to take back our power from what may

have damaged us along the way. In our lives, a parent, teachers, a boss, a friend, a spouse or even a bus driver may have lashed out to us at times, while they were in a state of fear. This could have caused damage to our souls.

We need to examine these times, review them, understand them for what they were and set the record straight in our hearts and in our minds. Understanding and forgiving will help to free our souls. Our souls were intended to be loving, not fearful and doubtful.

    Preface

This is the story of how I found my rosy path. The entire process took more than 50 years for me but may not take that long for you since you will have the benefit of what I have learned. To me, a free spirit is a soul unencumbered by any form of harshness placed on it by any event or any person one may encounter in a life. For me, the sheer definition of a soul is LOVE.  Freeing the spirit will paint the rosy color of your path.

Once my spirit had been set free, I continued to use my learned techniques to prevent any further bondage. I know now to keep my spirit nourished on a daily basis, something I omitted previously.  I never took time for myself. I am now sure to feed my spirit, as well as I do my physical body.

An important piece is that a soul is forever, eternal. Therefore, LOVE is eternal. You see, the heart and mind will not last forever, but the spirit will.

A free soul is a soul free to be LOVE. BE LOVE, not just to be in love... It is the way I found the greatest happiness, peace, contentment, and freedom, which creates my rosy path.

    Prologue

Imagine a life where you are happy, content, at peace and free. What if you saw the positive in everything that happened around you or to you? That’s not possible, right? Well, what if it were possible? Would you want to see the positive in everything?

Let’s say you can forgive, accept things for the way they are and are filled with joy. What if you were more caring and compassionate than you are now? Are you generous? Would you like to be? Think about it.

Imagine yourself in a world where you are at peace. If you never saw the news or engaged in gossip, I’ll bet you might enjoy peace. If your days consisted of walks in nature, doing only what you loved while enjoying good health and counting your blessings, I think you would be well on your way to happiness and contentment.

I’m not saying my life is like this, but most of the time it is close. What if you could lessen the amount of suffering in your life? Would you want to know how?

I have some pretty private thoughts on the matter. My intent is to share what I know to be true, I’m hoping that you, too, can create the happiest, most peaceful, and contented life and be free as well.

I believe that any life can be a happy one. It can be a life with many blessings. The understanding and comfort of knowing that you will receive exactly what you need, when you need it, is what I know to be real. I know this can be true for you. The beauty and success of this process is in its simplicity. Finding great happiness, contentment, peace and freedom seems impossible only until it happens. With faith and practice creating your own rosy path is possible for all of us.

    Part One

    The spirit & soul

We, human beings, are more than our bodies, we are our souls. Souls are the embodiment of love, and its aspects are forgiveness, acceptance, kindness, joy, compassion, generosity, patience, respect, contentment, and peacefulness. If you are not feeling many of these emotions, it does not mean you do not have a soul, it only means you are not as fully connected spiritually, or do not recognize that you even have a soul. When the connection to our soul is strong, we can do no ill. I further understand and believe that our soul is our moral compass. As a higher life form, human beings were also blessed with free will. We can actually choose love with all its aspects, which are all that is positive. Your true self is your soul.

The soul, or spirit, is in all living things. The soul exists and is honored by many cultures, including Native Americans. As Granddaughter of Whitehawk, of the Cherokee tribe, Mi’chelle Jenkins tells us When the Great Spirit made all; he put a touch of him in it. The soul is that "touch of him in every one of us. Hindus will say Namaste" and bow their heads to honor and respect the spirit within. The same offering of respect is practiced by the Japanese as they bow in greeting.

When we nourish our soul, and pay attention to its needs, it flourishes, and a positive energy is created.

The Hindus call this energy Shakti; the Chinese call it Chi; I call it my Life’s Force Energy.

I have, for as long as I can remember, felt an energy surging inside me. This energy is a feeling of being moved and directed. It has always been a sweet, kind, and positive energy. At times this energy has brought me indescribable joy. It is the kind of joy that brings tears to my eyes. Bliss is the first word that came to my mind as a 17-year-old. Yes, I did indeed experience bliss at the age of 17!

I believe that the soul is love, with all its aspects, and that a connection to the soul will free you. I hope to open you up to the possibility that you can experience the greatest and deepest love that there is. Many times, I have felt different from anyone else I knew when I tried to express myself. People only seemed to humor me, but not truly understand me. I even opened up to those closest to me, like my mother or a best friend.

    I do believe I have
