Foreword
Our life is the creation of our mind. What we are today is a result of the thoughts and beliefs we had yesterday. Moreover, our present thoughts, feelings, beliefs, attitudes and verbal statements are building our life of tomorrow. At times we live as if in a trance, guided primarily by our lower self with egocentric goals and reactivity, often blaming the world, or God, and/or others for our problems. When all is said and done we have knowingly or unknowingly created all the outcomes and circumstances of our life, and many of them are not what we would have chosen.
The wisdom set forth in this book allows us to begin to awaken and to start taking full responsibility for our life. A keystone of this transition is that we will be able to follow the guidance of our Inner Wisdom (which we may also think of as our Higher Power, God, the Holy Spirit, the Most High, the Tao, or perhaps a Universal Creative Force for which there is no name). As a result we will be able to remove the blockages that have kept us disconnected from abundance, peace, love, joy and fulfillment in so many areas of our life. This in turn will allow us to begin to experience intentional living and to step fully into our role as a conscious creator.
Furthermore, this is a pivotal time in earth’s history. People all over the world are awakening to the fact that there must be more to life than what we have found thus far. We are starting to recognize that fast-paced living and being a part of a society based on selfish consumerism leaves us feeling empty and frustrated.
As a result, there is a planetary shift in consciousness taking place that will allow a new era of peace and enlightenment to dawn. When we have made our transition to intentional living and have allowed our present reality to be transformed, we will at the same time be contributing to the healing and transformation of the earth and all her inhabitants.

Our Thoughts, Feelings and Beliefs Create Our Reality
Chapter One
Conscious Creation
Our subconscious mind attracts from the Universal Creative Force all the elements, circumstances, and situations that comprise our reality by what we focus on moment to moment during our waking hours. We knowingly or unknowingly create all the outcomes and circumstances of our life through our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, attitudes and verbal statements.
Our life is the creation of our mind. Our present reality was created by us in the past. Moreover, our present thoughts, beliefs and way of being moment to moment are creating our life of tomorrow. The insights presented in this chapter allow us to begin the journey of becoming conscious creators and to start to experience intentional living. The first step on this journey is to attain a deeper understanding of the Law of Attraction and the significant role it plays in creating our reality. What we focus on, we attract.
Understanding the Law of Attraction
Do you know someone who is so pessimistic, disagreeable, and quick to anger that he or she is constantly getting into aggravating situations? Or perhaps you know of someone with a poor me
attitude who is judgmental, mistrusting, and envious. In addition to attracting mostly negative outcomes in their jobs or careers and relationships, they have frequent physical illnesses and/or eventually contract some serious disease.
Looking back over your own life, do you remember a time when you were so upset, distraught, and anxious that it seemed like everything that could possibly go wrong did go wrong? In other words, the situation became a nightmare of one setback after another, bringing to mind the old adage, When it rains, it pours.
Recall how you felt when you were in this kind of stressful situation or when you were in the presence of a person such as the ones described above. Perhaps you experienced heaviness on your chest, pain or pressure somewhere else on your body, foggy thinking, your muscles tensing up, shallow breathing, and/or an overall feeling of darkness or aversion to the whole situation.
This is what it feels like to be in the presence of very low energy vibrations or negative qi (pronounced chi
). According to the Law of Attraction, this negative qi will attract more situations, relationships, and negative outcomes of the same low-vibration energy.
To make matters worse, instead of being in peaceful awareness and gratitude of the present moment, our mind is frequently focused on negativity such as:
Worry and anxiety about the future
Hurt and regret about the past
Judging, criticizing, and envying others
Insecurities about our own abilities
This state of mind attracts still more negative outcomes into our life. For example, in allowing ourselves to indulge in worry and anxiety about our future or the future of our loved ones, we keep focusing on different scenarios of all the things that could possibly go wrong. As a result these frequently become self-fulfilling prophecies. Therefore, our present reality is not at all what we would have consciously intended or chosen but rather one of negative outcomes that we are attracting to ourselves because of our negativity.
Remember, what we focus on, we attract. In addition to the negativities mentioned above, other ways to block peace, abundance, fulfillment, and joy from our reality include harboring frustration and not accepting our present circumstances. Lastly, refusing to forgive others and not letting bygones be bygones is a significant cause for frequent negative outcomes in one’s life.
In order to begin to experience intentional living it will be necessary to transcend reactive behavior, negativity, and materialist, egocentric goals. Once we have done this it allows our present reality to transform into a reality where we are enjoying success, true happiness, and inner peace, doing the work that we came to this life journey to do.
Two other very important considerations in our transition to intentional living are seeking the guidance of our Inner Wisdom (or Higher Power) and reforming our mental and verbal language so that it is in alignment with the abundance and blessings the Universal Creative Force longs to give us.
Importance of Connecting with Our Inner Wisdom
It is only in seeking the guidance from our Higher Self that
