About this ebook

Have you ever had trouble with the idea of "the angry God of the Bible"? Have you ever heard an echo from long ago, whispering in your heart... You are loved...you are Mine...and there is none other like you.?

Within the pages of this complex yet beautifully simplistic book you will find answers to many of the questions you have had about life and its meaning and why the key to it all is, and always has been...Love.

According to the Bible, God IS Love, and Jesus says that there are only two groups of people walking the planet...the good trees, the wheat, the children born of Love, born of His Father, and the bad trees, the tares, the offspring of darkness and evil. The line of demarcation between these two groups is not intellectual decision but the innate ability to love and receive love, and you will know each group by the fruit that they bear towards their fellow man.

Join Milly McDaniel for this decidedly non-religious view of life on the planet in this created dimension of time and space. Come along on the whimsically delightful journey through the Bible to discover things you may never have seen before as you return to your childlike heart. The map of God's plan has been in plain view the whole time but we could not see the forest through the trees, or through the religious haze. The secret keys and hidden treasures of the Kingdom of Heaven have been cleverly tucked away in front of our faces, just waiting for His children of Light to find. Most likely you will be challenged, as it is probably not what you have been taught...or, is it?

Jesus said, This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND DEDICATIONS

I want to give special thanks and heartfelt gratitude to my friend Kathy Roman. A woman whose heart is the size of Texas, Kathy patiently and tirelessly listened to countless hours of what I call my ‘crazy talk’ about the kingdom of God and who graciously edited this first edition of this book. She was objective, unbiased and professional at all times, diligently offering suggestions for the refinement and polishing of this work while not changing the voice or content.

This book is dedicated to my earthly big brother Fred, who is the leader of my tribe of bright and shiny Moore kids from Ortonville, Michigan. A wonderfully delightful and eternally kind person who reflects so much of his heavenly Father that it brings tears to my eyes.

This book is also dedicated to one of my dearest friends, Holly Owen (December 15, 1957 - October 20, 2015) who was a law unto herself, which showed the work of the law written in her heart. Until we see you once again, we love you Holly and you will be sorely missed on the planet, but you’ll be watching from the portals of heaven. I pray we have learned something from your life and your witness of love. Save us some pumpkin pie…until we are with you again someday, on the Mountain of Spices…Wa-hooo!

And last but not least, to you, Jackie Boye Nielsen. God had you preview this manuscript long before it was in print and I got to see Him change your life in amazing ways once you knew who you really were. And then He took you Home on July 4, 2016. I will be looking for my circular stairway in my mansion when I get there, built by you and Jesus together. Cheers, Jack! See you soon…

    AUTHOR’S NOTE

I have chosen to use the King James Version of the Bible for all of the quotes and scriptures referenced in this book. I also have indicated Jesus’ words in bold italics rather than red, simply because this book will be printed in black and white and I want His words to clearly stand out and stand apart. The Early Modern English form may at first seem cumbersome but is worthwhile in order to stay as true to the original Scriptures as possible. I encourage the reader to continue with this version for study, as the picture painted for gaining understanding of the Scriptures also changes dramatically with the more modern, ‘easy to understand’ versions. I feel strongly that in order to defend the points of this book we must use one standard and the King James is a widely accepted and generally agreed upon as true by both biblical scholars as well as the average person in today’s society. This book is not meant to be a theological paper or a point of contention, but rather, a fireside chat about God, the meaning of life and love and about what is actually found in the Bible. It is my opinion that we should follow the advice of the apostle Paul in this matter:

"This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain."

    (Titus 3:8-9)

Oftentimes the reader may feel that there are spelling or grammatical errors in the quoted scriptures found in this book but I have spent a great deal of effort to ensure that the quoted material is correct and as it is found in the King James Bible. That being said, errors still may occur and will be corrected in the second printing of this book. Additionally, many times I have chosen to capitalize words such as Truth, Love, the Light, etc., intentionally using these words as pronouns for God, as He calls Himself by many names throughout the Scriptures (the Light, the Way…) and I take the literary license to do so in my writing.

As I have been working on this book, I have been misunderstood by many close to me and the book is not even in print yet. I have been fascinated by the responses to this work by those whom I chose early on to share it with. For all, it has prompted them to open God’s word for themselves…in delight, in argument, in joy and in anger, yet they opened it. What lies within these pages is my journey of discovery…of our Creator, our Father, our Brother, of our neighbor…and a discovery of ourselves. Who are we and where did we come from? What is our future…and why is that so?

What I will declare in advance and have had to repeat again and again is that I believe in God the Father, His only begotten Son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and that they are a triune God…Three in One. All humans were made in their image, but only His offspring were made after their likeness, known by their fruit and were created to be mirrors and reflectors of His character. His offspring are triune beings, like God is, with a body, soul, and a spirit, created for the very purpose of carrying and reflecting His love…for God is Love. There is only One True Love…One True and living God. Apart from God’s Spirit living within the earthen vessel of any human being, it is impossible for them to bear any fruit of that Spirit. Jesus says that there are only good trees and bad trees and that every tree is known by his own fruit (Luke 6:44a). Jesus lives, breathes and moves in the hearts of those who follow His call to love one another, oftentimes bypassing the intellect. They do by nature (Romans 2:14) what they were created to do. The Scriptures say that we must believe in our heart…not our head, that Jesus is Lord. James says that we will know what people believe in their heart by what they do (James 2:18). It is my postulation that Jesus is alive and well and bearing fruit through countless trees who may not intellectually agree that there even is a God, yet they are compelled by some inner voice towards bearing fruit of love and compassion towards their fellow man on the planet. Love bypasses the intellect and cannot be contained by any box man can build for Him in their minds. And I declare and decree in advance that Jesus is the Son of God, and God Himself, manifested into this dimension to show us this love, to lay down His very life for us, His brethren, others who are born to love, born of God. As Jesus is…so are we…the offspring of the Father. When Jesus did what He did on that cross He covered all of the brethren in His blood. Our sins were forgiven and wiped clean in that moment…anyone who bears the fruit of the Father, unfeigned love to the brethren, is following Christ’s commandment to love and is following His voice. He who doeth righteousness is righteous (1 John 3:7b). And so that I am crystal clear, it is only because of this blood sacrifice that the way was opened back to our Father in heaven. It is only by this blood that we have the ability to love one another…even if you do not understand that in your mind. After all, how could we grasp this in our intellect? Do we ‘understand’ the spiritual realm? Yet, Love touches our lives every day on the planet.

This is my journey of discovery and I invite you along on that journey, as you may have had some of the same questions. I have had questions for my Father and I have sat alone with Him for uncountable hours throughout my life in the early mornings, searching and seeking Him out through the pages of the Bible. In this book you will find that what I am presenting is my theory that God bypasses the human intellect and that anyone who loves with a true heart is already covered by Jesus blood (no matter what their intellect tells them) and will indeed, because of His blood sacrifice, be returning to their Father someday. Jesus did not lose even one the Father gave Him (John 6:37-39). Jesus already sits in the finished work of the future…our future, His brethren. Those who choose to love their fellow man are born of God and are under grace. It is a fact and a state of being. Conversely, those who choose to hate their fellow man and walk in that hatred are condemned already. It’s all about the fruit towards others on the planet.

Jesus laid down His life for all of the offspring of God, paying for the freedom of all of His brothers and sisters…those born of His Father and who carry love within themselves. This was God’s plan before we were ever manifested into this dimension. Jesus is the only One who could have done that and was sent from the Father for that very purpose – to purchase the freedom for all of God’s offspring with His very life, and God did not consult us when He devised and implemented His plan. You can pray all the sinners’ prayers you want and get baptized in water till the cows come home but unless you love others…unless you bear fruit of the Spirit of the Father…you will not be entering into eternal life with the Father. Unless you bear the fruit of the Father, Jesus will not recognize you as His brethren and will say, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matthew 7:23b). And if you have unfeigned love, one to another on the planet, no matter what your theological beliefs are in your intellect, you will be returning to your Father when you step out of your earthly body upon your death and passing from this world and will return to the world called Heaven, your Father’s home. It is my desire to introduce you to your Brother…who lives inside of you, inside your very heart of love. His name is Jesus, even if you did not realize it was Him. Surprise!! And that is why I am here today with this note to you.

Stay with me for this journey. Things are not always as they seem on the surface and if you love with your heart, with the eyes of our hearts tuned into the Father, I pray that you will stay until the end of this journey and perhaps decide for yourself. If we truly had an inkling of Who actually lives on the inside of us, why, the world would change quickly in exponential ways for the better. I pray that truth will be downloaded into you and an ever increasing rate so that you can come to more clearly grasp who you are, where you came from, why you are here and what tools from the heavenly realm you have access to here in this dimension. Let this be the beginning of your very own journey of discovery and not take my words as gospel but use them as a springboard for your own quest for truth, for it shall be found if you truly seek it. That’s the Father’s promise. And I promise you, this will not be boring and will most likely be different than any sermon or Bible teaching you may have ever heard. I’d bet a nickel on it. So sit back, relax and join me now for an adventure you will not regret and will not easily forget.

    INTRODUCTION

Every human being has the desire to love and be loved, do we not? We all have questions about who we are and why we are. We have questions about the universe, the stars, questions about how they can make a jellybean taste like popcorn…and about why a tiny child has to die. We try to make sense of the world around us, constantly taking in and sorting information like a computer that is never turned off. Are we matter or spirit, and why does it matter anyway? And for some of us, like my sixteen-year-old son, why are we wasting time asking stupid questions when it is a bluebird, knee-deep powder day in Colorado and the mountain is calling, drawing us like a tractor beam, ready to be traversed down at death-defying speeds with a shout and a grin. And in the end, he is right. We were created for life, vibrant life, free from fear and pain, sorrow and, frankly, gravity. We were created to love, fall head-over-heels in Love, be transformed by Love, and to rest…in Love. But I don’t want to get ahead of myself.

In the following pages you will be challenged, I hope, to come outside of every box you have ever built to contain yourself in your mind. To venture out of the boxes that others taught you to build, about what this life is all about, about who God is, or is not, and whether or not there even is a God. The secret answers all lie within you if you are willing to have a conversation with Truth, one on One. The Light will begin to dawn in your heart and then your mind and open up a whole new world of wonderment and joy such as you have never experienced before, if you let It.

Chances are, as I said before, you will be challenged. You may get angry, at first. You may be fearful, not willing to listen because these are not the things you have been taught, and you will have to weigh them out for yourself. But then you will settle down and the Spirit will show you things you will know…that you already knew…somehow. Like an echo from long ago, from some faraway place or time, like a de Ja Vu. But then it will fit like a glove…or a shoe that was made just for you. The Truth is comfortable. Love is a perfect fit. And perfect Love casts out fear.

When I first started working on this book I ran the first couple of chapters by two dear friends of mine. They are twenty and thirty-five years my seniors and are spiritual mentors to me. They told me that I was just ‘working out my salvation’. I have heard people say that throughout my life in churches, with regards to others. I’m still not quite sure what it means, exactly, and it seemed like a pretty complicated statement to sort through so I chose to lie that aside. Their patient feedback, however, prompted me toward questions and comments that others would have in response to this book and debates that needed addressing, so the meeting only helped me to get further along in this writing. On the two and a half-hour drive home, God revealed another piece to me, because of the questions at the meeting. He put it into my mind to look at how we recognize Him, Jesus, the Son of Man, the Way, the Light. And He gave me examples to follow. This was one of the keys and this will be discussed at a later time when it makes more sense. This is not about me working out my salvation. Jesus already accomplished that feat for me, and for all the children born of the Father before we were even created in the wombs of our earthly mothers. No…this is so much more. This is about Love, and the truest Love Story of all time, ever before and forever after. I honor and respect both of them, and listened to their advice and guidance, and am indebted to them for their love, and it helped me to focus the lens of this book even more than before. One of the ironies of that meeting was that they made it very clear that although this was a powerful testimony, it was not a theological paper. Whew! What a relief. I am not a theologian and I do not play one on T.V. I am a simple person with a childlike heart that is full of love and adventure. I am a Cellular and Molecular Biologist by degree and a soft tissue rehabilitation therapist by trade and people have been my passion since I can remember. I have been a Jack of all trades and a master of none…because that would have been boring. The deepest fear I have had throughout my life is not doing something adventurous because I was afraid. I was more afraid of being paralyzed by fear than afraid of going to try something scary. I always asked myself, What’s the worst that can happen? If I could deal with those consequences, if it did all go to pot, then it was worth trying at least. My deepest fears were never realized, though, and I continue to live my life, refusing to live in fear. I encourage you to do the same, and I encourage you to read this book with your heart, prayerfully towards your Father if you know He is there, and with an open mind and heart towards such a Creator on the off-chance that one just may exist, if you don’t. What do you have to lose…your pride? The cost of this book? And can you deal with those consequences? What you have to gain is priceless.

My intent is that if you are searching for the way of truth, vibrant life, and true love, that this book will fall into your hands and set you free by the very breath of God Himself in the Scriptures that will pour forth in the hours set before you. You will realize that you had it all within you the whole time, and had everything you would ever need, independent of you and living right inside of you. My intent is that as these words go forth, as seeds scattered into your minds and down into the fertile soil of your heart, you will lap up the living water and become refreshed, drenched in dew and set free by God’s great and powerful Love for you. You were created for one purpose and one purpose only: to love and be loved. Oh yes, and to soar through the sky with arms outstretched…period, end of story. I just get to be the one, perhaps, to translate it into a language you can understand, as the Spirit told me to do. This book is part of my purpose, my destiny, coded in long ago, and that is why I am here. He just wants to use my hands to type, and my mouth to speak. He…Love Himself, lives inside. Are you ready? Let’s go.

    CHAPTER 1

    WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Hello and welcome to an amazing journey! If you are like me, you may have skipped over the author’s notes and introduction to get right at the heart of the book. If you did, I strongly suggest that you backtrack a little this time and read them, as it may answer some questions you will have during your time here and without that foundation you will be at a disadvantage. Go ahead…it won’t take long and I will wait right here until you get back.

Now, as my friend Dave used to say, let us press on, regardless! All of my life I have known things, unexplainable things, as though I was born with the information coded in. I don’t know how or why…I just knew them. I suppose it is because I have never lost my childlike heart. It is through this heart that I heard and saw Jesus one day not long ago. It was at the tail end of a massage session I was receiving from a therapist friend of mine named Carol. I had just turned over, face up and was in that wonderful, still place, fully relaxed and peaceful. With my eyes closed, I saw before me what appeared to be a hologram projection starting, disappear and then project fully. It was Jesus in 3-D, from the shoulders up, looking directly into my eyes. He did not speak but instantly I understood His directive. I was to begin telling the world about His love. I was simply to share how I have experienced that love in my own life, since my earliest memories. I am just telling you what I experienced in that moment. In all honesty, it reminded me of the first Star Wars movie that came out when I was 13 where Princess Leah recorded a message about the intergalactic battle and at one point the hologram started projecting from within the droid, R2D2. Anyway…

In my life at that time, I had been trying to write about who God is, as testified to in the Bible, as well as how I have experienced Him and who He has shown Himself to be throughout my life. He is not the interpretations of the humans trying to stick Him in a box. He is simply not containable. I was trying to defend His great and unfathomable love for us, that unconditional love… that ‘no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend’ love that Jesus Himself exemplified. I was struggling to show through Scripture how we will not be cast away from His heart to the eternal damnation of hell if we don’t jump through the religious hoops, ‘x’, ‘y’ and ‘z’. And, by the way, those hoops must be jumped through before we stop breathing in this dimension ‘or else’. I knew the gospel message that Jesus spoke, saying that He, with Himself, fulfilled all of the law…and now we are to obey the only commandment of this New Covenant, purchased by and signed with His own blood. "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:34-35). I didn’t have all the details, but I got the gist: love each other, be nice, play fair…be kind, forgive because you mess up a lot too, share, and comfort someone who is crying. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you (John 15:12). I am not saying that I had been taught these verses, or memorized these lines. I am saying that I understood the meaning and the truth of it inside of myself, without external explanation. Really, it is the Golden Rule in a nutshell. James calls it the ‘royal law’. If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well (James 2:8)." Even kindergarteners know that. And it has been the gospel message from the beginning, but we fly right by God Himself by trying to figure Him out, which box to put Him in and who is and isn’t ‘going to hell’. Religious people are trying to do the sorting of who, how and why each person will ascend to heaven or rot in hell; meanwhile everyday people, doing the will of the Father (loving their neighbor as themselves) are leapfrogging over them into the kingdom of eternal life with Love Himself, Jesus, by the droves.

What about Paul, who once was called Saul? What does he say in the Bible? Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law (Romans 13:8). Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10). What about John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, who God used to pen the books of the Gospel of John, I John, II John, and III John as well as Revelation. What does he have to say about all this love stuff? He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him (I John 2:10)…Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (I John 4:7-8). Do you have time for one more? God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him (I John 4:16b).

I was struggling to prove how that ‘cross we are supposed to pick up and carry every day’ in order to follow Him was not the dirty, splintery, back-scourging, bloody cross that Jesus carried. Jesus’ work was complete on that cross and His blood is more than sufficient for the sacrifice. I became frustrated with the churches and mega church pastors who are preaching and writing books and small group studies that tell us that once we are in the kingdom we are in danger of getting kicked out again if we don’t do this, that and the other. If we aren’t willing to sell our houses and our cars and leave our family right now, because they say so, then we are not worthy to follow Jesus and He wants nothing to do with us. Have we lost our minds?? That is not what Jesus is saying. Here is what He does say:

"Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said to them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition."

    (Mark 7:6-9)

Notice, by the way, that twice Jesus uses the word ‘commandment’ of God, singular. What has God commanded us to do, over and over and over again? To love each other, and by that, we show our love of God and show that we are born of God. James says, "I will shew thee my faith by my works (James 2:18b). The works of the Father are works born of love and a compassionate heart toward each other. Not a checklist of ‘should’ and ‘have to’. We love, because it is in our nature to love, if we are born of God. I am not talking about being perfectly loving and kind all of the time, but possessing and using the innate ability to love and be loved. If not, if there is no love or fruit of love toward others who love and are born of God, then these folks are in a different category all together. It is a matter of apples and oranges, or, of sheep and goats. In some walking the planet, there is no truth within them, only hate and every imagination of the thoughts of their heart is only evil continually (Genesis 6:5b)." Some, as the Scriptures say very clearly, are born of that wicked one (1 John 3:12), Satan being their father. As a matter of fact, they will be repelled by such love. Light and darkness, what have they in common (2 Corinthians 6:14)? If we are looking at electromagnetic properties, the answer is, not much. And we’ll leave that right there for now.

Many of the churches now use God’s own words against Him and those He died for, those He loves and who love. They twist His holy word this way and that to fit the ‘God in the box’ that they have come up with. Jesus warns us of such doctrine. That is why Jesus want us to get to know Him, to spend time alone with Him seeking Him with our hearts and His promise is that He will answer us and reveal Himself to us because that is His deep desire…to have intimate relationship with each of us. He wants us to know Him as we are known by Him. He wants us to follow His commandment to love each other because this is how He begins to reveal Himself to us, through experiencing that palpable and recognizable love. There is so much we do not understand because we are trying to understand with our minds and He and His kingdom are revealed to our hearts. As a matter of fact, He hides knowledge from our intellect and reveals it to our hearts first. We must learn to ask for wisdom, and then the understanding that accompanies it.

Not many seem to recognize the Voice speaking inside of them which speaks to their hearts, as when God spoke to Elijah in a whisper. This Voice, our ‘conscience’ that is in constant contact with the Father warns us and tells us through His Spirit right from wrong and speaks from within. God does not leave His children and never stops talking to them. Will we listen? "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27):" God wants you to seek Him with your hearts…because that is where He lives. "…behold, the kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21b)."

In the midst of all of this angst and pain I felt at the knowledge of God’s pure love for us, that I have experienced since I was knit together by Him in my mother’s womb, I was struggling to prove how we weren’t going to be cast away by our very own Father who loves us, that He wouldn’t do that. I understood that the Bible says some seemingly straightforward things, but there must be a deeper meaning, something we were missing, because it goes against the very nature of God, and God simply cannot do that, He cannot compromise His own nature. There must be more to it, some failsafe plan that we couldn’t see on the surface. I cried out, literally, to God and began to ask, seek, and to knock (Matthew 7:7), …as a matter of fact, to pound at the door, holding God to His own words in Jeremiah 33:3 where He says to call to Him and He will tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. God began to whisper back, echoing through my heart, revealing some of the meaning behind the verses in the Bible that I had never even thought of before. Suddenly I had understanding and insight, as though He had unmasked my mind’s eye and I began to write, to search, to journal and read others’ books about God and the Bible. It was like following breadcrumbs…spaced out at first but then closer and closer. As my focus shifted off of others’ work about the Bible and more and more onto the Bible itself, I asked the Spirit to reveal it to me, to show me directly as I read, alone in the early mornings before the sun came up. A whole new world opened and suddenly I could see the missed messages and the misinterpretations in others’ teachings about the Bible. I began to see the larger picture and it is astonishing! How could I have missed it? How could these Bible teachers have missed it?

I found myself trying to disprove the others, who were off-track, pouring over their work, their books, and their Bible studies. In God’s great mercy and patience, I believe He redirected me and a question formed in my mind: why does it matter? I thought about this and it hit me that it truly did matter…that God loves us so much and He wouldn’t treat us as some people say He does. But why did it matter so much to me? My heart ached to let people know who our loving Father truly is, and not who the doctrines of man say He is. People are dying and starving for true love and those preachers are scaring them away from Him. Again, the question formed in my mind: but why does it matter? Then I remembered the hologram projection from many months before, like a supernatural breadcrumb…just tell them about His love. Suddenly it all became clear to me…faith, hope, and charity (love towards the poor and needy), these three; but the greatest of these is charity (1 Corinthians 13:13). That was it. Bingo. It has been hidden right in front of our faces the whole time. Love is the one thing that the darkness cannot mimic or counterfeit. Where light abounds, darkness must flee. Rather than writing books trying to disprove the twistedness and manipulation of God’s divine word, written by others that have been derailed from the true gospel of God’s love by the puffing up of their intellect, why not just tell them about the pure, unadulterated form of our Creator God’s love? Tell them about what Jesus has done to show Himself faithful and true in my life. Quote His loving word and let that very Word speak directly to their hearts. To him who has ears, let him hear (Revelation 2:7a). Wow…it is so simple.

My grandmother raised me to know the love of Jesus, not any condemnation at all, only love. It was natural for me, like breathing. I knew how He loves children, how He would pick them up and hold them close to His heart, and I knew of the stories about the sheep, and if there was one lost, he would leave the others in a safe spot and go search until He found that lost one and not give up until He could safely bring it back to the flock. He loves the lepers, and the prostitutes and the tax collectors. He loves all mankind that He created in His own likeness of
