Collane continues her love for teaching as a Substitute Teacher in the public school of Georgia for 2 years. In addition, she has taught for 26 years combined in the public and private schools. Collane has been a Christian for many years. She has published her first book, Seasons of My Life Inspirational Poetry, and The Fruitful Filled Life.

    REFLECTIONS

    There were times in my life, while I was a young girl, when I had pretended to be a Teacher. I would bring home teaching materials from my teachers to educate my younger sisters and my dolls with. I would use our drawers from the dresser in our bedroom as desks, and I decorated our bedroom into a classroom for which to educate my students. When I was young I had three favorite teachers in School. One was in elementary school, one in High School, and one in College. However, among these three teachers, my Social Study High School Teacher was whom I had favorite most. It was through her that I was inspired to teach and make a positive influenced in the life of youngsters. I begin to know my niche as a teacher in high school, and surrounded myself with positive role models in the field of Education to learn my craft as a Teacher.
