He was active in the Social Concerns ministry of the Methodist Church in Singapore till 2006. His main interest is in writing. He wrote his first book, Living Well in the Autumn of Life, in 2009 and his second book, Living with our Heavenly Father, in 2011. He lives in Singapore with his wife, Mary.
