I Have a Purpose

I have a purpose it’s to start the fire someone’s heart.

To put sparkle back someone’s eye.

It’s to catch someone before they fall.

To make friends with someone that doesn’t like me.

My purpose is to be the hand that dries the tear

of an old lady.

It’s to find the child that’s lost.

It’s to be godlike even though I will never be God.

When everyone is looking at the rocks I am looking at the pebbles underneath them.

It’s to give some faith to those without.

It’s to give people something to look up to at eye level.

It’s to give a smile without a tear.

It to sacrifice everything for nothing.

It’s to be someone’s light when all is door.

Just to hold someone’s hand whenever they are scared.

My purpose is to simply understand.

My purpose is to love endlessly no matter what!

The Dream Remains

When I was a child I had a dream of being the best.

But as I got older somehow I put that to rest.

It’s still here way in the back of my mind.

Trying to recall that dream is very hard I find.

In my mind is hard to find the pieces to put back together.

But honestly I don’t think it’s gone forever.

In my life I’ve been soiled with many stains.

But I have no doubts that the dream remains!
