I gave you love like Browning, made your skin crawl like Poe. I crossed genres where no poet is supposed to go. All the while staying true to my motto given me by my uncle, plain talk is easily understood.

Jim Moon

Jim Moon graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After spending his early work life as a counselor for troubled teens, adolescents and adults, he began facing his own demonic obstacles. His professional career and personal relationships laid in ruins and thus began his journey through addiction. After an encounter with a spiritual elderly woman, he turned to God for life-changing help. God led him to become a licensed preacher at the small church which 50 years earlier was founded by his grandfather. Throughout his time spent ministering, the challenge to overcome his addiction became unbearable and the vicious cycles began again. As his life was spiraling out of control, the chronicles unfolded through a poetic journey. Now approaching two years sober for the first time since his twenties, Jim shares his life story through the stanzas in this book. Some are told during his lowest times and others at his highest. Ultimately you will be inspired as you travel with him from the dark periods when Satan had control, up to the present when God delivered him from the powerful bonds of addiction. Jim currently resides at a ministry in Northwest Georgia and is pursuing his addiction counseling certification.
