About this ebook
Hanging on by a thread, is a short story written describing the difficult time Anita and her family went through in 2008; a year of heartbreaking lose and struggle.
God is the only one that can truly heal the brokenhearted. Her prayer is that someone will understand that tragedy doesn't have to be the final chapter of their life, and that healing and feeling normal again, is possible, but you must believe.
Her son, Quinton, gave her a plaque as a Christmas gift the previous year before he died; the plaque included an inspirational phrase, but at the top of the phrase it says, "Believe."
Little did she know, how much that word, "Believe" would help her!!

About the Author
Acknowledgments
I would like to thank God for the power and strength He gave me and my family to overcome tragedy in our lives. He is truly a good and loving God.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow!
I would like to thank God for blessing me with Quinton, and for the amount time we were given to spend with him; I sure miss him.
I also would like to thank my husband, Virgil, for encouraging me to write this book and for being strong through it all. He was there for me each time I needed him, and I love him more now than ever.
I also want to thank my son Keith for just being my son. I am very proud of him for overcoming a difficult time in his life; Keith is alive today because God spared his life. There are no words I can say to express my appreciation to God for that. I also want to thank Keith for the words of encouragement and the many conversations we had that helped both of us through a very dark time in our lives.
I am grateful and thankful to my parents, siblings, and friends for being there for us through all the anger and frustration. A special thanks to our pastor and church family at that time as well as Cesar Chavez staff and students for all the cards and gifts, prayers, kindness, and support.
Preface
First of all, I want to say that I will never forget the year 2008. It was without a doubt the worst year of my entire life! Two unbearable situations happened that particular year, and my biggest task at that time in my life was surviving
