About this ebook
Frederick Combs
My name is Frederick Combs. I was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on December 26, 1966. I have lived in most of the states in the United States. I have a brother that was born in Connecticut, one born in Road Island, another born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a sister born in Connecticut that is on my mom’s side. Then on my dad’s side, I have two sisters. I never met my dad and finally met my two sisters in November 2001. Met my aunts and uncles in February 2002 for the first time. I spent most of my life growing up in five cities. I was in a foster home from the time I was seven till I was twelve and a half years old in Columbus, Ohio. After Mom got us back, we moved to Dallas, Texas, where we lived from the time I was twelve till I was thirteen and a half years old, then we moved to Bear Point, Alabama. I was always coming up with a way to make friends and earn money from the time I was twelve years old. I have a daughter who is twenty-five years old and a son both living in Missouri. And I started writing in 2000. My first poem was “Kids Are Our Future.” The second poem was “Marriage in the New Century.” Both have won me editor’s choice awards for outstanding achievements in poetry. Both were published in the UK by Nobel House Publishing. One has won me a twenty-four-karat gold lapel pin. And both got me inducted in the poetry hall of merit.

Kids Are Our Future
K ids are the future of this world.
In order for a kid to grow up and
have the right sense of values.
A kid needs to grow up in a loving
but wholesome environment.
Kids need to be taught right from
wrong from the start.
And there’s not enough right
teachings in this world now as it is.
Think about it kids will be running
this world someday.
Do you want our world run by kids
that haven’t grownup?
Been taught wright from wrong.
Been in jail for drugs or stealing
because that’s what this world is
coming to.
So teach the kids to do wright and
give them all the love you can.
Marriage In
The New Century
M arriage should be about families
working together for each other.
But in today’s marriages its everyone
for themselves not for staying together.
I look at a husband and wife that look
out for each other for better or worse.
Not for how much money the other has.
A marriage should not be about what
can I get from my spouse.
But what can I do to make my spouses
life better.
And how can I make my spouse feel
better about life with me.
And what can I do to make them feel
better about themselves in their walk
through this world.
If a marriage ends in divorce,
