About this ebook
Dalston Harrison Jr.
I am born in Brooklyn, New York Bedford Stuyvesant on March 19, 1965. My parents Icilda and Keith Harrison are married and live in Brooklyn, New York as well. Both of my loving, caring and proud parents are supportive of my poetic aspirations and both of them were always there when I needed them, no matter what. I always did well in school from public school and believe it or not that is when I actually developed my writing skills even though were unaware of that time. As a result of the above, my educational persistence allowed me to graduate from Junior High School and go straight to high school with academic honors in September 1980. I have been writing poetry from high school and that’s where my motivation for poetry actually began. I graduated from Tilden High School in East Flatbush in June 1984 with a Regent’s diploma, for Law and Politics and took a year off before going to college at Long Island University downtown Brooklyn; where I had a double major: Law and Business Management but didn’t finish although I accumulated 3 ½ years of college education. I have seven beautiful children who I love equivocally and 5 grandchildren who I also love with all my heart. I also have several published books of poetry and I love writing which I have been doing since I was five years old. I am also very much interested into sports and I root for all of the New York teams. I am on the way with my writing career and I will continue writing for a life time which is my dream while I accomplish other things and spend quality time with my children and the love of my life. In conclusion, I am proud to release my 1st novel and will be the first of many to come, hope you enjoy my life experiences and hopefully my writing not only inspires you, but motivates you as well and remember to not only believe in your dreams; do whatever positive you have to do to carry out your dreams as I am successfully doing!

Treasure of Love - Dalston Harrison Jr.
CHAPTER 1: LOVE
Love is a very serious word and can be defined in so many ways; it is unbelievable, but very much crazy sometimes when you really think about it. God represents love spiritually and it all began with him way up above in Heaven in the beginning. Love is also an essential thing that all human beings crave for or want very much. Love is something we cannot do without no matter if we’re with someone or living alone. Love cannot be forgotten although true love will always be cherished, but in reality very hard to find, yet maintain. In relationships, you must always be honest with your partner whom you love. Love can also be classified as a mystery because sometimes you’re unsure what direction you’re heading in. Love can also be thought of as a character of unclean mind because it’s pure, humble and kind. It is on a high platform of love that has to rest with an infatuation and disparity that gives you no time to meditate, much less think about what you’re actually going through at that particular moment in your life. Behold all things possible especially through belief in God because he creates all human beings. Love is completely innocent and yet can be serious, so there is no space for idle gesturing; love is clean and yet still full of different challenges. In love, you must remember to take your time day by day in order to develop that special romantic feeling and also you must be very patient to see the results. Love is tender and love can also cause you hurt and pain. Love when involving two serious people must be treated with genuine care for all that it is worth. True love can never be taken for granted due to the fact that everyone has a different personality. When in love, which is so complicated, also reminds me of a beautiful ray of sunshine that always makes your day. It can also be sad because it can dispel darkness and loneliness while having you lose your mind at the same time. You must continue to think positive no matter what because God knows how to heal the broken heart. It’s funny how love can also cause you to change the things you do in life and can also make you think far apart from your partner. True love is not developed hastily and easily, but often can lead to temptation and lust from the wrong people. In love, you must also be patient so that you can build up a strong relationship with the person you love while you’re both learning each other’s ways and personalities. A strong relationship definitely needs communication and trust especially if both individuals feel the same way about each other. Real love will never grow weary between them especially as time goes by. As you spend more quality time with your partner, you become closer as one body, one soul and there is no time for rest; unless it’s a timeout during sex. In love, you must do what love has requested in order to accommodate one another. I can relate to this experience because I have often been in this love triangle many times and one problem I have is that I love hard and I love too fast. This is a big problem because people tend to take advantage of you and also take your kindness for weakness. As human beings in today’s society, we must learn from our trials and tribulations in life whether it’s good, bad, happy or sad because if we don’t we will continue to make the same mistakes over and over when searching for love. True love is definitely hard to find, but not impossible to achieve. It is simply just hard to find someone to give it back the same way equivocally.

A real Treasure of Love is very difficult to find, much less keep because it has to be genuine and then kept consistent on a daily basis. When true love actually is mutual among two loving people, the feeling is quite divine. In my opinion, it’s more precious than gold. It’s also glorious to behold, but it depends on you and how you choose to handle it. If you are successful at finding true love, it can often make all your dreams come true. Love can also be viewed in many other ways; but you must keep your faith and courage fresh in order to maintain the relationship. Sometimes in relationships nothing you do works; then other times it seems as if it doesn’t work your way especially when you feel lonely and then become depressed. Love is something you cannot hide, especially if it’s real. Love comes in varieties as well as everyday dealing with different feelings, mixed emotions and various personalities you feel deep inside which can change you or break you depending on the individual. It is therefore very important to keep in mind that you must make peace at home and go with the flow when dealing with love as it comes your way. Embrace love as you find it and just take it one day at a time. Prayer and belief in God is a great resource and is something to consider if you don’t pray often now. Love has its ups and downs and is a treasure that can drive dark shadows away as well as become a beautiful sunshine on a sunny, bright, summer day in anyone’s life. I am still in search of that special Treasure of Love and I am ever in need of it more; each moment of the day with that special woman in my life is much sweeter than the day before. I often reminisce of a moonlight I vision shining as bright as it comes close to me as I feel true love all over again. Treasure of Love needs a lot of devotion that creates that special feeling of sweet sensation. I then wake up from my dream searching for love I thought was right here in my strong arms. Time slowly goes by as the search for love and tenderness is still going on continuously within me. The search for true love is ongoing and is
