The Best Health Flavours - Yusuf Wasiu
Personal health care is very important
You really need to know that, we expect a lot from our bodies; energy, health, longevity, and success. But if we neglect our health, our bodies stop functioning properly, and eat themselves into an early grave. Many died of chronic kidney problems, complications, arising from hypertension, and high blood pressure, and another of diabetes related ailments.
Those Nigerians or Africans, whose career path takes them outside their immediate family environment, and away from good and natural diets, are forced to settle for fast and processed foods that more often than not, are injurious to health. Also the life-style of many, particularly in the area of alcohol, and hard drugs consumptions, and smoking is spreading speeding them to their early grave.
Although, hereditary, and environmental factors affect our health. However, to a large extent, our lifestyle, eating habits, sleeping pattern, how much exercise, we get and so on.
Herbs have played a significant role in enhancing wellness throughout the human history.
The big difference between herbs and orthodox medicines is that, herbs are employed to maintain wellness and prevent diseases, whereas medicine are used to cure diseases, after they have developed. Plants makes animal life possible, and our ancestors used all types of plants in their daily lives and early in the history of the human race. They learned, long ago, that certain plants could be used to support good health. Ancient people all over the world identified an interesting category of plants. Herbs that could be used to nourish, and revitalise the body.
Herbal preparations, usually made from roots, flowers, barks, or their extracts were the only effective remedies available to our ancestors. Today 30 per cent of conventional, drugs are derived from plants, and in spite of mountains of modern medicine, more than 80 per cent of the world’s population, still rely mainly on herbs to enhance their wellness, and meet their health care needs.
In spite of huge technological advances in physics and pharmacology, and despite science’s understanding of the disease, process, the idea of natural, medicine has caught on in the general public and has gone dramatically over the past years.
Increasingly; awareness is moving towards individuals taking personal responsibility for their own health, and over-all wellness. More and more, the health care battle-cry seems to be This is my body and I intend to take care of it in the best way possible
, as people finds out more about how prevention really can help them avoid the pitfalls of requiring expensive medical help to rectify problems. The said part of life is that we cut down our diets, to make ends meets, only to expend our savings on medical treatment some years later. The direct result of depriving our bodies of essential nutrients. It makes good reasoning, therefore, to utilize your money on yourself by supplementing your diet and avoid giving away your money to somebody else at a later stage.
In depriving the body of necessary nutrients, the immune systems, is compromised, and when the immune system is down, it opens up the body to various attacks, resulting in sickness. There is a wide difference between filling the stomach with food, and feeding the body cells with nutrients. One can eat oneself to bursting. For example, on fresh white bread, while the body has received limited (if any) nutrition. As the global health problems become more pronounced, more consumers than ever before are searching for ways, to improve their diet, and physical health. Employers of labour are realizing that sick and unfit workers, have a direct effect on their bottom line. For them, unfit employees tend to have higher absenteeism, rate and huge medical bills, in addition, to decreased productivity.
As a result, a growing number of employers have started inhouse, wellness, programmes, that encourages physical, activities and all-round healthy life styles.
Sickness is not your portion
The Bible says in Isiah [53:5] that, "But he was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Every born again child of God has a covenant of divine health with the father. He couldn’t have said, I am the Lord that healeth thee
. If he hadn’t made, adequate provisions for your health. Exodus [15:26] There’s a place where you stand in God, and never get sick again. It is the realm where the divine nature in you is so stirred up, that you become immune to sickness and disease. Just as Egypt held God’s people (Israel) in bondage for over 400 years, there are many believers who have been tied down by sickness for many years!
They have been serving
hospitals worshipping the devil by spending all their money on sickness. Many even go to the extent of borrowing to serve
sickness. This is not God’s will for you. We saw that in 3 John 2, he said, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper, and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
When you give your life to Jesus Christ, you become a partaker, of the blessings of Abraham. Jesus hung on a tree, so that these blessings could become ours, and replace the curses hanging over our heads before.
Christ had redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, for it is written, cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. Galatians [3:13-14]. Once you’re born again, you become a spiritual Israelite. Galatians [4:28] Consequently, whatever blessings that pertain to Israel become yours. Divine health is your heritage in God, and it is your birthright. Talking about Israel’s 40 years journey in the wilderness, the Bible records that none among their tribes was feeble, their legs were not swollen, and their clothes did not wax old! Deut [29:5]. That’s your heritage in God, as a spiritual Israelite.
He says, I am the Lord, that healeth thee,
that’s your heritage in God and your birthright in Christ, who paid the price? Jesus did! The same day you were delivered from sin, your body too was delivered from torture, and torment. It’s affirmed in psalm [103:3]! Who forgiveth all thine iniquities who healeth all thy diseases.
Your resque is total! One woman came to Jesus on behalf of her daughter, desiring healing for her. Jesus said to her, You don’t give children’s food to dogs
. Let the children first be filled". Mark [7:27] If you’re a child of God, you are in God’s priority list for complete health. Until you’re healthy, no sinner in this world is permitted to walk the streets sickness-free!
That woman answered back, yes Lord, but the dogs too can eat out of the crumbs that fall from the table. Every time you see a sinner healed, it’s a crumb from the table! You are the one that has a guarantee to be healed, because you are a child of the kingdom. God is not only interested in the salvation of your soul. He is also the saviour of your body [3 John 2]. Whatever is destroying your body, God is out to destroy it. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are
? 1 Corinthians [3:17]
God has taken sickness away from your midst
And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land; the number of thy day I will fulfill. Exodus [23:25-26]
I have been bouncing about like a stone since 2004. I’m just living. Praise God! And the way I see God taking me on, at the age of 120, I won’t have any problem with my health. When I see the sick, compassion grips me, because you don’t have to be sick! Adequate provision has been made for you to be healthy and strong. Lester Sumral once testified I am 83 years old, and I use no medicine of any kind, and I’m perfectly healthy.
There was a man of God called Smith Wigglesworth. In his days he took communion daily. He went to be with the Lord at 87 years of age. No trace of sickness or disease was found in him at his death. Jacob was 130 years old when he said, I have heard that my son Joseph is still alive, I will go and see him
. Gen [45:28] At 147 years, he gathered all his sons together (12 of them) and profoundly pronounced blessing on them, without any trace of mental deficiency. He said, "Reuben, thou art my first born, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the
