About this ebook

Behold the Man was the challenge made to all present at the trial of the Son of God.

The responses have been varied and many.

We who have accepted it and received Him as our Lord and Savior rejoice with unspeakable joy at each and every opportunity to behold him. To us, He is
precious, above all, none greater than, none like unto Him: He is wonderful, He is love: He is altogether lovely. He is the One to know, to trust, to love;
and to worship and serve. It is the desire of this writer that others may come to behold Him and the glory of our God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

    The Preface

    Behold the Man was the challenge made to all present at the trial of the Son of God.

    There were present those that had beheld His claims and witnessed His wondrous works but when challenged they would not accept the proof and scoffed at the thought of Him being the Son of God. There were those that followed their leaders and likewise mocked Him saying – He saved others; himself he cannot save Math.27:42

    There were those destitute of pity who treated Him with scorn and with wicked hands cruelly beat and crucified Him. There were some that were wise enough to judge Him to be a just and righteous man that had done nothing amiss: He was the Son of God. There were those that had both seen the power and person of the Son of God and had been drawn to follow Him and on beholding Him suffering they sorrowed exceedingly.

    In these last days there are those who would scoff at the challenge to behold the man Christ Jesus and scorn one that would declare it. However there are those who would gladly accept it. Those of us that have accepted it and received Him as our Lord and Savour, it was to our blessing, and we rejoice with unspeakable joy at each and every opportunity to behold him. To us He is precious, above all, none greater than, none like unto Him: He is wonderful, He is love: He is altogether lovely. He is the One to know, to trust, to love; and to worship and serve.

    It is the desire of this writer that all believers may continue to behold Him and to be closer drawn to Him and blessed to the glory of our God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

    He Is Precious

    Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious1Pet.2:6-7.

    God who created all things purposed in Himself: that in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ both which are in heaven and which are on earth in Him. Before the foundation of the world God planned to redeem man from a human nature that is sinful and evil, and reconcile man unto himself with a nature that is divine and good, and save man from sinning against God and doing evil, and to provide eternal blessing for man. The redemption of humanity from ruin to perfection is precious to God, yet it demanded the ransom of a perfect soul that had lived a perfect life. Since no human is perfect and all are together unprofitable and have lived worthless lives, then none can by any means redeem his brother nor give to God a ransom for him. Psalm 49:7. Such a soul that is perfect and lived a perfect life would be precious to God.

    Wherefore God’s plan necessitated coming into the world in person to put away sin.

    God used Abraham’s virtual sacrifice of his only
