About this ebook

This is a real look into the minds eye. The thoughts and dreams of an average man. Each poem is crafted with the intent of shinning a light on an idea with the charisma of rhyme. Some stories were even told from the female perspective from antidotes of sisters, cousins and friends. With love poems that will spark a flame in the hearts of every reader. Inpirational poetry with a current that can recharge the bluest days. A rich and demonstrative pride of black power rhythms fueled by a life in America. And a lovely buzz of infatuation rendered by charm and romance. This collage of impeccable verses range from simple everyday thoughts about friends to deep passionate stories of love. Reading it once wont be suffice because there are ideas within some words that can only be seen through experience. Be prepared to laugh and cry, while learning and enjoying written art. Each chapter is the make up of a man who speaks his mind from his accounts in this life. You will be thoroughly satisfied and left anticipating the next read of Thirdeye ;-)

    DEDICATION

To my Grandmother Florina Owens Wheeler… In my attempt to grant one of your wishes. This is our book. Our flow is in the current now. Our energy is vast and we were blessed. You showed me the verses that rhymed and in me it got better with time. This is for being my everything when I needed you most. I love you and I appreciate you. Your grandson Kevin Anthony Gaines ;-)

    BIO

Born to Catherine Delerice Wheeler and Kenneth Dale Gaines on Feburary 16, 1980. From Catherine and Kenneth is a sister Angel Letrecia Gaines and a brother Jason DeAndre Hodges. From Kenneth is brothers Kenneth Tremaine Gaines, Terry Lebaron Freeman, Markeith DeAngelo Gaines and Korey Donnell Gaines. And sister Danielle Lashaundra Gaines. Born in Oakland California I went from there to Mobile Alabama at a young age. Returning to California in middle school in the city of Fresno. Back to Mobile for a couple years then the last three years of high school in Sacramento California. Back to Mobile for two years of College for an associates in CADD then two years in San Jose and Los Angeles California. Back in Mobile where I met my fiancé Michecol Shantel James and we had a son in 2007, Kevin Anthony Gaines Jr., and for now Mobile is home. A brick layer by trade simply because my brother and my dad is. The dream was architecture or football, but honestly neither ever got the best of me. I didn’t discover my passion for poetry until I was 15 when I told my grandmother Florina that I was bored and she said Well go write you a poem. That day changed my life. I’ve been writing ever since.

    VISIONS OF LOVE

    PLUCKING A DAISY… .

S he loves me, she loves me not,

she loves me, she loves me not.

When she hugs me, the fires hot,

but when she kisses me, I blow my top.

I ask if she misses me and she says boy stop,

you know I miss you like a hog miss slop.

Haha we lol. Though far as I can tell.

Thursday she loves me, Saturday she loves me not.

But I don’t wanna booooorrreeee you with thiiiiisssssss.

    Why not???

Cuz see I love her I love her I loooovvve heeerrr.

    Don’t be shocked.

A real crap shot. With a Daisy, who’s naked stem I’d drop.

If the last petal wasn’t love way more often then its not.

Cuz there’s somethin’ bout her looooove

That makes meeee weak and knocks meeee off my feeeeeet.

She wont convince herself I’m sharing my bed and my sheets.

Then seek out revenge in the streets.

And me I’m a lil meek when it comes to the sweet sweet taste,

of her sweet sweet place, in which I mush my face.

Hmm. Every time I go hard you can almost say I forgot.

That just the other daisy she loved me not…

just like the hug, if someone plays me, I blow my top.

Ask the birds. The frequency in my inquiries have stopped.

It’s tatted to me but I rather do me and why not???

Cuz the devil is hard to stop, I say these devils are hard to stop.

Though as much as I don’t wanna hurt her, that all goes out the door.

If she hurts me and I don’t know what for…

see I don’t wanna booorrreee, you with thiiiss

cuz yea she loves me she loves me she loooovveess meeee.

So no if ands or maybes each time I pluck them
