Against The Current
Against the current
Clearly need discernment
A little bit rough around the edges
So you know that I’m still learning
I know that I must glide
In order to survive
Thou it seems absurd to many
From reality, know we cannot hide
The world just keeps on spinning
So I got’s to keep on swimming
Know that this is not the ending
It’s barely the beginning
And thou we know it’s hard
The feeling I won’t discard
I’m looking for a happy ending
I hope to take this far
See I need to get to the other side
And thou the cost seems so high
The time that I have been spending
Seems like an expensive ride
But my dear I will not quit
’Cause you know I’m too legit
With the world I’m going to spin
In order to win this thing
Don’t forget I’m not finished yet
I’m going to be as good as good is going to get
Know that I’m a survivor
A little Miss MacGyver
If you didn’t know by now
That I’m going to take this higher
So I’m going to take this bow
’Cause the future just got brighter.
Ain’t, Ain’t A Word
Ain’t, ain’t a word, but I am plainly gonna use it
The way things are going now no one’s going to dispute this
I’m’ma nip this in the bud, you don’t know whaz up
I’m’a act all ignoramus on ya just for the heck of the fun
I ain’t sorry either, it’s gonna be more than a mister meaner
Gonna tweak you, poke you, try to provoke you
You’re going to say to yourself you dope you
When I leave you’ll note too, tell yourself have you seen her
Tell you it’s going to get weirder
You’re going to feel like potatoes
That’s getting ready to get peeled by a potato-peeler
It aint getting any more clearer you stupid tomato
I’m going to tell you it’s going to get drastic
Like these fake people that think their all that, plastic
It’s going to be tragic, galactic, frantic, it’s going to be magic
People are going to ask me, can I have it
Hate all these fake ignorant people selling fake stupid things
Like I’m going to wish I had it lying next to me in a cool dark ditch.
I’m getting a itch, let me scratch it let me file my nail sharply
so I can get at it
I know I’m a little out there, but let me just have this
Not trying to get off the topic,
it’s just that there are many things that get my goat
Take note try and stay afloat, things that go on,
make me want to get a rope
Don’t get high hopes, thou, nope, know I still can cope, you
