About this ebook
It’s All In
Me is a look into the body, mind, and soul of a Man who does not apologize for
his being. In a world that focuses on
tolerance, the words in this compilation encourage acceptance of all ideas and
beliefs. However, this is not accomplished by taking any political or religious
stand, but simply by accepting that we are Man, monster, and miracle.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> All in One.
In this book, No-Man stands
before the judgment of the readers proclaiming, “You Can Handle class=GramE>The Truth!” Every
thought in these poems is complete. As the reader takes in each poem, they will
question not only the author’s sense of reality, but they will question their
own. They may even discover questions to
many of the answers they consider fact.
But the real hope in this book is that they will take the opportunity to
declare, “I am a person physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is all in me
and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Pedro S. Silva II
My name is Pedro Silva. I am a husband, a father, a minister, and a dreamer who writes. I have been writing almost as long as I have been reading. My fascination with words began with the realization that words can be used to create worlds. They can also be used to destroy them. They can be used to harm and they can be used to heal. This is the power that humans have been afforded. As a writer, I try to use my words responsibly. I don't take them for granted. My hope for my writing is that those who encounter it, will experience it as an invitation into a greater experience of who they are as multi-faceted beings. With this book of poetry, I explore the facets expressed as body, mind, and soul. Each poem is an opportunity for the reader to journey with me and to be a part of the creative process. As I see it, no piece of writing is complete until it is read by an open minded reader. If you come in contact with this book, I look forward to working with you. Peace, Pedro Silva

For my Wife,
You give me a place to be.
All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of Man. The general spread of the light of science (knowledge) has already laid open to every view the palpable truth that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred ready to ride them… These are grounds of hope for others. For ourselves, let the annual return of this day forever refresh our recollections of these rights, and an undiminished devotion to them.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
INTRODUCTION
When I decided it was time to put this book together, even I did not know what to expect. This compilation of poetry, thoughts, and observations are the reflection of who I am—body, mind, and soul. But making this book available is not just for me, but for anyone who believes it is possible to have it All. I don’t mean to possess, but to experience life from the mental, physical, and spiritual perspectives, yet free from guilt.
It is written and it has been my experience that there is a time and a place for EVERYTHING under Heaven. No one can dictate for another his or her proper time and place to come into this knowledge, however I do believe that it is available to all. All one has to do is make that choice to say to themselves once and for all, It is Finished! I am that I am—whatever that may be. There is a time and a place for even me, and I believe that time is NOW!
We have bore the burden of guilt too long. We are not broken; we are a work in progress. We were not born to pay the debts of our fathers and mothers, but to build upon the foundations they have laid.
I learned a lot about myself in writing this book. It is my hope that those who find this work of heart will learn something in reading it or at a minimum question that which binds them. This book is presented in Love. May it be received is the same Light.

PART 1
THE BODY
The Man I Am
I am the man society made
I had no choice in me
Your anger, your love, your joy, your frustration
Are all that I can be
I am a man without a Voice
All I say is what you need
Never able to speak for me,
Until all of us are freed
We Dig It
There’s something I feel I must say to you
Don’t get angry just because it’s true
This is something I feel I have to do
Now let me break it down for you
We dig it!
When we see those people with nothing to eat
Somehow it makes us feel more complete
So we dig it.
We see they’re so poor so we’re comparatively rich
But if it were not for them, there would be no rich
How would we know if we all had the same shit?
So we need the poor, ain’t that a bitch
Can you dig it?
Man, so and so’s kid is bad as hell
But it makes my kid comparatively well
So I dig it.
Now here is something else for you
Once again it’s extremely true
Someone has to be down
To look up to you
So thank God for losers because I’m one too
Can you dig it?
If it wasn’t for the darkness
Would there be light?
So thank God for the madness
Does that seem right?
This is something I won’t explain tonight.
But still we dig it.
Now there’s one more thing I have to say
None of you are wrong today
If it wasn’t to be, it wouldn’t be
