In this manuscript, the author recounts the story of her life. She experienced abuse at the hands of her family during her childhood, which led to a difficult youth and a troubled adulthood. She shares stories of how she made her way through life in spite of various difficulties and describes the births of her two daughters as well as interactions with friends and family members in her adult life. In the end, she dedicates the memoir to her daughters, hoping she was able to give them a better life than she had.
